All the investments have their own risks, no investment with no risk. It depends on your way to deal with the risk. If you understand how to manage the risk, you will invest with a quite secure way. Altcoins is very risky, but it won't be very risky if you choose the top altcoins. People who are afraid about the high risk on altcoins, they can choose most reputable altcoins such as ETH, BNB, ADA, or other top 10 altcoins.

If you prefer to hold a short time, you are likely to fit with trading. It is okay if you prefer to trade altcoins, you can invest in Bitcoin. You can allocate bigger funds for a long term holding on Bitcoin. Meanwhile for altcoins, you can choose the top altcoins and just hold them for few months or 1 year (if you still want investing in altcoins).

If you can manage timing then both option could be suitable for investment. Now if notice about crypto market then you will see that, market is pumping and dumping respectively. So if you can best use of this situation like buy from dip or use DCA, it would be profitable. The best option is buying altcoins during halving cause that time price should be go more down and make crypto more afford to you. cause bull is yet so far to come

if you want low risk investment simply invest when the price are at low, when the price is getting corrected heavily.
the thing with altcoin is that it looks risky because people are always investing into the shittiest altcoin there is, quite plenty of altcoin in the market that are actually good and presenting real product but many people instead choose some random altcoin with low market cap thinking it can be doge, raising its market cap to the amount of billions so that they can get massive profit with just few hundred dollars and ended up getting scammed.
just choose coin that actually reviewed by an exchange, approved, so you know that there's real team and real product behind that altcoin since that is the best low risk investment.

Your input is good, it's just that even by choosing a coin that is really reviewed, it does not rule out the possibility of not losing because i have seen that there were once good and attracted investors but now stak somehow it can happen i also don't understand. But on the other hand i am sometimes surprised by what happened because at first i thought it might not happen like that, whether they were asleep or what is clear is that i will not take high risks, so.. I choose to trade in a short time.

if you want low risk investment simply invest when the price are at low, when the price is getting corrected heavily.

I think from now halving affect has been started. Now all cryptocurrency being up. So As time goes by, altcoins price will also increase there has no doubt. Not only altcoin but also All cryptocurrency price will increase because we are experienced drom previous halving.
So i think if anyone want to invest on altcoin now best time for that. During halving Altcoin will more high. Then investment will be risky i think. Till now many good Altcoin still very down. So i think it is best time to invest on altcoin.

Risk is definitely there it just depends on the size of the risk, maybe for you long-term investment is very unpleasant and detrimental (i think). But it all depends on the intelligence of those who are the determinants. There are many ways and techniques that can be done but hours of flying will be the determinant, so keep honing your existing skills and don't switch techniques / methods because it will confuse us. Unless we have mastered the existing techniques and upgraded them, it will definitely be very helpful and beneficial to ourselves.

As long as you are following the development and you fully trust the team behind the project, like what you said, btc will take time before pumping that huge jump giving enough time for investors to pick whatever direction they choose for their investment, just needed that extra efforts to do your research and carefully analyze which coins will rise that will follow btc movement.

It's more on your good analysis and assessment and besides it's your money that you will be using better to make sure that you will use everything to prevent losing it.

I also agree that the market will not immediately rise when the halving starts, BTC takes time to rise, even though the total number of BTC minted is getting smaller, it does not guarantee that BTC will immediately rise.

we don't know what will happen after the halving, however, I feel that the price of bitcoin and altcoins will start to rise before and after the halving occurs. This also happened in previous years. Although there is no guarantee for that, I feel that not delaying buying is a very good thing. This allows us to avoid higher prices after the halving. investing in altcoins now or during the halving is not a bad thing, because the time to invest in both is still very good, I don't think btc will immediately rise very high right when the halving has started, but it will take several months to rise.
doing DCA every month is also a good idea.

Altcoin community have some bad projects that could cost us loses if we hold them.

Altcoin mostly shoots up when the price of bitcoin stays stable for a long time. A similar scenario will occur after bitcoin creates a new all time high and the price stays stable. This is the indicator of the start of the altseason but in spite of this all the altcoin won't grow much as there are some zombie projects that do exist in the market but no one trade those project. We should avoid those projects even in the altseason when most of them start making new all-time highs.

We are anticipating the bull market very soon where the correlated Altcoins will find their way to the top once more. Bro just an opinion from me Investing altcoin can be anytime including now, as long as you have time to analyze and money to buy.

if you look at the chart the coin on websites like Coingecko and coinmarketcap you are gonna see there are a bunch of altcoins still not yet touched their last ALL time high for me that is a huge opportunity, WHY because if the coin still alive after so many bear market and has active development and active community there is a possibility that the coin gonna touch at least their last all time high and that is worth buying.

What I am about to say is not financial advice, obviously. But I believe that investing in an alternative coin before the Bitcoin halving does not make much sense, people are going to have all their attention put on the price of Bitcoin, instead of the price of Alternative currencies.
On the other hand, to me it makes more sense to invest in alternative currencies onve people move from have their attention on the price of Bitcoin and start to use their earnings (gotten from the Bitcoin rally) in speculating in the Alternative market.
The price of Bitcoin will eventually start to go down and the alt season is going to begin, though, that does not mean the Bitcoin halving won't also benefit the price of alternative coins, but it is more likely for it to happen when the Bitcoin bullish rally is over.

Also, selecting the right currencies is key when it is about investing in pre or post rally periods of time, it does not matter whether one has the perfect timing to get profit is one is only dealing with shitcoins and irrelevant projects anyways. I am keeping my eye on Litecoin, I suspect it's price is going to get up, together with the price of Ethereum and other Top 10 cryptocurrencies.
Let us see how it goes.
