Networking: As a politician, you will meet people who have even more power than you do.
Progression: It doesn’t stop at where you are, you can rule till you progress to a position where you rule the whole world.
Learning: As a politician, you will learn a lot of things. Politicians are usually smart. Irrespective of the fact that some of them fail to do their job, in their time of ruling, they learn a lot about business, etc, which improves their thinking ability.

With these (and more), there’s nothing wrong with being a politician. People study Political Science and other related degrees just to be politicians, so it is valuable.

Politics is necessary and I don't think the society will have structure without politics, in essence political bodies are the ones taking decisions and they do everything in their power to make sure the society doesn't get affected with war, conflict or inflation. Anytime you see war in a country or inflation you'll notice the government bodies will not rest until the war end.
I believe there's nothing bad in politics, it's just an act or rather a game but the people surrounding the political bodies now are just too wicked and evil, they have another motive towards the society. The most annoying part is during an election where you see poor citizens fighting for their candidate and at last some will lost their life and after fighting for the politicians they still go back to that dirty act, I will not say politics kill but if you decide to play with your life that's when the game will kill.

Believe it or not politics is a dirty game of which you don't have the mind may be one should pull out and find other brilliant opportunities to earn a living, as most people now go into politics not because they have good ideas and thoughts for the country but due to some selfish reasons on making themselves wealthy. Only the fittest can survive when it comes to politics, how best you play the cards tell if you are going to emerge into holding any of the positions.
Politics are meant to be played by politicians and giving us a better economy and standard of living but instead they only think of their own selfish gains.

the main argument here is who will truly serve or who will truly abused the power and that is their
prerogative but never questioned the legitimacy of politics because even in the earliest time politics is already existing.

This politics is very hidden for the sake of seizing the throne and pleasure in government, to the point of using all means to get something without being based on conscience, it is brutal. What I know in my country is that the elbowing between a government enthusiast is so pronounced even though it is only a debate on vision and mission, sometimes I get supporters who are so fanatical and have opinions that are not rational, my assumption is that politics is getting here mixed with finance so close to the civilian level, especially those at the top as a success team, even though it is transparent but the dirty way is visible.

Perhaps in large trading circles that are difficult to trace, such political practices can also occur and monopolies can occur in all sectors.

For me politics can be an effective means of facilitating the smooth running of something that wants to be contested but the greed of certain individuals takes the road with dirty practices carried out behind the scenes, if it can be seen from the start, of course people can judge which one is worth choosing. If politics have never existed and we have been living a good life, I would say politics is not necessary to be implemented today. As we can see today, even the implementation is under politics and can be controlled or altered by this same political system. Politics do have a lot of disadvantages and that shouldn’t make us feel politics is bad. For every thing, we always have the good and bad path. As a person, you decide which one to go for or which path to trail on.

Politics have shaped a lot of things we do today. The rules, the guidelines that is making us live today and what we trail on is all about this politics that we have decided to implement and use. Politics is just a name to describe a purpose that we practice but in reality, politics exists in our everyday life and it is something we can’t live without and just have to pursue.

Politics is an essential ingredient of the state , the state cannot exist without it because, it is the sharing formula of common wealth and decision making that characterize the existence of the state.

Although all the things you mentioned are true, politics is also important and necessary. When you don't have good leader to follow, you waste your time, politics is a game of win and loss and the winner takes all.

It leads to death when a follower turns to thug instead of supporting their principals with progressive ideas in modern politics. Having enemies in politics is the necessary root to fame .

Before stating if necessary I want to emphatically say that every human is politically motivate, as heritage. Politics is the ability to convince your opponent, woman do convince their husbands same to husband, even boy friend and girl friend. But the other side of the politics that involves lost of live,or hatred and all manner of evil mentioned here is due to human nature of manipulating things, which is not meant to be, making it do or die affairs. this why many who is affriad of loosing life run away and condemned politics,on a neutral ground is not bad. I think is necessary because once you shyaway from it you loose many things because as you know follow no regards for your right just that you must apply wisdom to limit loss of life,hartred or having many enemies.

Politics is part of our lives, and we cannot do without politics. This is because it is through politics that we elect our leaders and also politics help to develop the country. It’s so sad that people do not see the use of politics because of the pollution in that area and this those not exclude our “beloved” politicians, the purpose of politics was initially to gather group of men or woman who are thinkers and leaders and also who have great vision for the country and is willing to execute its great plan but instead the people put in these positions has just taken it as their family business.

For example Nigeria has so many resources and has no substantial reason to be a major debtor to any country but look!…politics is the strength and downfall of a country or society. It is a very important element but it’s so unfortunate that the people who have been entrusted to these positions have woefully failed.so sad.

I don’t blame anyone for presently thinking or asking themselves the use of politics in todays world because it has more of disadvantage than advantage.

I don't even count all these are disadvantages of politics because they are conditions that anyone of us can individually fall into even when we are not into politics, we have to engage in politics and we should know that not only politics have the bad dealings in it's system, we are the ones that infiltrate anywhere we found ourselves into with our attitude and relationship with others, we don't have to look at the bad side of most things we are into, they may just discourage us from seeing the good ones.

In a world wherein being a good and honest government official would not be enough to get you elected, some may argue that yes politics is very important

Politics also includes how the general public perceives you and if you have a few secrets you do not want everyone to know even though it’s not necessarily a bad thing then politics come in to the scene

From the perspective of a normal citizen, of course if we could just all look at our candidates as their honest selves showing transparency instead of manipulated lies that would be good but i do not think politics will ever disappear

Politics is better than kingdom, because in kingdom no one common citizen can participate, while in politics even the weakest person can become a portion who is trying to continue his work.

In our country, many politicians are corrupt. They're entering politics to gain power, political dynasties are also common as if it's a business that be should pass to their family members. There are also cases of murders due to this as well, just shows how important for these people to occupy the position for their own welfare.

However, although politics has its own disadvantages, it can't still be eliminated because it is crucial. We need politics, a leader to lead us, from local to national. We can prevent people who are not deserving to take a position if we elect the rightful person. And it's our responsibility as an individual to become part of the changes and development of our country.
