Being qualified for the UCL is excellent, but it would be much better if leverkusen also won the Europa League championship too considering that would be proven them worthy enough to play at champions league. We'll see how competent Leverkusen in UCL, a Bundesliga winner with an undefeated recorded by leverkusen at this moment that performs in the UCL soon. We know that the UCL has a better level than the Europa League and leverkusen can't see that as ez competition.
I believe that Leverkusen will struggle to face the UCL club shortly. We have City or Real Madrid as the best club in the world right now. I don't have high hopes for Bayer Leverkusen in UCL.

Been at their best isn't something we will say with certainty that Dortmund wasn't at this season, they were able to make it to the champions league finals and then they were able to remain in top five in their domestic league, I don't know how best they would have been in their form, it's just obviously a matter of priority. The champions league finals is literally a dream for some teams so Dortmund lived the dream of some team this season and that alone should be seen as an achievement because they would have been able to win the champions league title at some point if they were more solid than their opponent. Well, there are many positive aspects to be drawn from these facts, firstly Atalanta got their victory and secured a place in the UCL, and another thing that is very important that few see is that Xabi realised that he cannot neglect any aspect of his football system when there are problems, he has to quickly change his strategy, and as the competitions went by he did not put himself in that position and this took him by surprise, now there are very big challenges for him, everyone has high expectations of Leverkusen in the UCL, and I hope that they do not drop the level if they start like they did in the Bundesliga and the Europa League, this will be a heart-stopping one.

The Europa League come with surprising end this season; Bayer Leverkusen was hoping the win the trophy after finishing the Bundesliga without any defeat, but Atalanta who surprisingly eliminated the second favorite team Liverpool, and end defeating the main favorite Leverkusen at the final.

At some point, I was expecting teams that came from Champions League to play a key role in the Europa League title, but teams that started the Europa League stood well and won the title. I hope the next season will be as interesting as this season's Europa League because I can see that there are big teams that failed to make it to Champions League, they will make the Europa League more competitive and if Champions League eliminated teams join them, the competition will be more tougher. It will be very hard to predict the favorite this time.

We give our regards and full attention to the World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, the Euros, Copa America before falling in for perspective european leagues. The Europa League is on different level, we've watched the top clubs been competitive and they've grabbed accumulated winning points to push forward. Club level games are interesting because we get to shoots our sights for winning and always staying focused on our end.

I don't follow it very often because it's more often played by teams below the level of the Champions League, but this final was very interesting. As for Leverkusen's chances in the Champions League - if they stay on the same winning streak, it's quite possible they can do something and get to 1/8 at least, and then it will be hard to guess who will go further there already

The new format is quite simple, like just increasing the number of participating teams or adding new slots and the like. and maybe the excitement will also increase with more teams joining. I'm also quite impatient looking forward to it. And there should be more dramatic results in the new format. Because everything will be fiercer than in previous seasons.

Agreed, the Europa League isnt the "little brother" of European football anymore. It has its own flavor, and now that teams that didn't make the Champions League are playing, its like a wild card event where anything can happen.

However, the style change for next season will be huge. There will be no more escape for those Champions League losers; they're going straight out the door! To me Europa league is even more difficult to predict because right from the start of the Europa competition almost every one predicted Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen to reach the finals which almost happened If not that Liverpool were stopped by Atalanta and to be honest after Atalanta won Liverpool by 3:0 at Anfield I was having this feeling that they were up to something dramatic even though Bayern Leverkusen was more in the picture of winning the Europa league.
It's really sad to see that Sevilla that have the best record of winning the Europa league on seven occasions performed so poorly in the champions league and could not even make it to the Europa league and it was a very bad season for them even in the la Liga because they managed to finish 14th position last season.
Obviously, Atalanta wasn't even in the picture of winning the Europa league at first but they just became so strong within a blink of an eye and turned things around to their favour and I commend their bravery because they were the only team that stopped Bayern Leverkusen from ending the season unbeaten in all competitions and also winning a treble as Bayern Leverkusen only ended the Bundesliga unbeaten which was also an awesome record they created in the German bundesliga because they are the only Club to have ever done that in the history of the league.

This season UEL has many surprises and that makes every match very interesting to watch. I watched the UEL and UCL finals and to be honest it was more exciting to watch the UEL final than the UCL final this season. You could choose Real Madrid to win the UCL and it would actually happen. Leverkusen are unbeaten but they had to score several times in injury time to avoid defeat. I think Atalanta and Leverkusen are on the same level and that makes the UEL final very interesting to watch. After everyone favored Leverkusen and became an invincible treble but surprisingly Atalanta managed to beat them with 3 goals.
UCL teams have the opportunity to play in the UEL, but European teams that play in the UEL cannot be underestimated because they can provide surprises in every match.

Even if the new format you are referring to is not implemented in the Europa League next season, a good level of play will still be there and will be clearly visible in the Europa League next season. We are having end of the first season with new highs and success, but now it's time to keep things at this level for the future which is never been easy job for any team because here we are having teams which want to fight back for their supremacy, and it's also not easy for the Bayer Leverkusen to stay at this level with they will be also having Champions League which is more challenging than UEFA Europa League if we will have things at the previous season level then surely this could be new era in Bundesliga where Bayern Munich were having dominance without any challenge.

As we have history of teams which fall down badly after having success due to few bad decisions but can Bayer Leverkusen keep themselves at this level, and we will have the toughest things at the top this is surely not easy but good fight Xabi Alonso will try his best for another best end of the season as he is having good mind and strategy which is key for the success.
