It is theoretically possible to mine Bitcoin in Minecraft. Someone has put together a Universal Turing Machine in Minecraft so anything that can be computed, including SHA256, can be done using a Minecraft CPU.

It liked the sound of this. Would like to know more information about it..it's pretty interesting  Cheesy

it's an old news, and also not so profitable, i believe there are better game that let you have bitcoin, maybe not directly, like those that use Hypercoin

with hyper you can play minecraft and earn those hypercoin that you can convert in bitcoin, with a better earning, also there are more game like counter strike, that provide a good earning overall, much better than any faucet for example...

Kids, and this is what happens when someone only reads the topic title. :p

Ah, that's pretty nice work! Nice "mining!" Grin

That's great but I prefer playing Counter Strike to earn Hyper and then exchange them to Bitcoins. I think that way is much more profitable. I've earned around 5 Hyper playing Counter Strike. I'm getting addicted playing this game. Will probably try playing Minecraft (it's been a long time since I don't play) this weekend.  Cheesy

Care to share more of that? I usually play a few games, wouldn't mind hopping on servers with rewards.

Check out this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-get-free-crypto-for-playing-counter-strike-hyper-cs-server-654249

It's about how to earn Hyper playing Counter Strike.

You can also check here: http://hypercrypto.com/hyper-counter-strike-global-offensive-server/  for info on how to connect to the Counter Strike Global Offensive server. Hope this helps  Roll Eyes

Thanks, already found that, joined their servers and not much activity or rewards Smiley

In the future, all these kids uploading minecraft in Youtube will get paid in Bitcoin instead of dollars, and if Adsense doesn't end up accepting BTC then a new platform will be created similar to Youtube. Im assuming people will still care about Minecraft in 5 years which I have my doubts. The game is just getting old and repetitive at this point.

lol really? you can mine bitcoin with minecraft? i didnt know it.

-snip- but playing minecraft to earn bitcoins, just lol.
Theoretically you could say that. Basically what people have started offering is you earning bits by mining within Minecraft. This means that when you mine a block (reward depends on rarity and set of fixed rules) within the game you get some bits.
You can check it out here. Please not that this method was not introduced for earning money, as some might bash it for low payouts.

a correct title would be: "I minecrafted a Bitcoin in Minecraft"  Grin

Did you not see the images he posted?

the title was misleading i thought that he was mining with that thing created in the minecraft world, not my fault, next time OP should post the right title without us trying to resolve the puzzle to catch what he want to say

I thought you mined a Bitcoin while playing on a Bitcoin-related server. I heard there's server which is based on Bitcoin - one is a online Bitcoin world another one is a Bitcoin casino. However, as what Amph said, this is somewhat old. I'm holding on Hyper as I knew there are going to come up with something great on their Minecraft server. You should really check Hyper out if you're interested in crypto and gaming. Smiley.

Lol you took the OP's title literally but all he meant to say is that he made a Bitcoin B logo on the game. I don't think playing any videogame is lucrative unless you get 1 million views per Youtube video or something along the lines.

I do not think that OP is talking about earning coins per block mined in Minecraft. However, you're right that it is old news. Obviously such methods are not there for the sake of earning money, but rather just earning a extra while playing these games.
However, it looks like OP only had built a BTC icon within the game, nothing else. He's in creative mode anyways. This makes me a bit uncertain when trying to understand the title.
