I have seen these 2016's around, but I assumed they were Chinese knockoffs. For one, there does not appear to be a hologram or private key which means it's just a novelty token. The public key they stamped on it was funded in early 2015 ( which I assume was from someone's valid 2014 coin). There is no mint mark indicating it is .999 silver, so I'm guessing it's just some kind of alloy? Lastly there is no mention of it on www.solnoctis.com or an official mintage listed anywhere.

Hmmm, strange stuff. Must be a bug. Or, these coins were obviously that limited that there is hardly any trace of them??
Maybe it was so limited they didn't announce it? Weird....
Thoughts? Gorgeous looking coin, novel holo design and a new approach to it i.e. The holo doesn't take the whole coin face up leaving more space for cool design.
Personally, I like it because it's so different in a variety of ways from the majority that have gone before it.

I have got to agree with vizique here.
I personally think their 2016 design is much nicer than the 2014 version.

Where the heck did you even buy it, I can't find any 2016 sol noctis coins anywhere on the net, just 2014?
These were an extremely limited run.
I didn't manage to snag one either.
