I think this is a big  NO.We know that every banks aim for one only goal. That is to centralize an decentralize financial system. And bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and if banks do happen many changes will happen in bitcoins. So i think having bitcoin banks is not good for all of us bitcoin users.
Correct, banks will aim to try to get control over the network so we must avoid the construction of a bitcoin bank, in a way this reminds me of the fight against the creating of an American central bank that happened and we know how that ended the Federal Reserve was eventually created.
There is no way bitcoin banks will be establish if people would not allow it, we want the same system that we are using now, we can simply transact online without the need of a third party and we know banks in real world is govern by the central bank and we are not sure if people who govern are really willing to serve the interest of the people. Here in bitcoin, we are all equal and we have freedom since we can transact anything and anytime we want.
Don’t make a mistake, the only reason a bank of bitcoin has not been created is because it is not going to be successful because we know the truth but when adoption increases to the point the average person uses bitcoin then you can be sure bitcoin banks will being to exist because th average person does not know the truth.

You have a clear point, the KYC will kill the anonymity of bitcoin that we are get used to. With that possibilities I don't
think people will still push to have a bitcoin bank. For me, I have no problem with bitcoin wallet as it went smooth all my
transactions.

KYC won't kill the "anonymity" aspect of Bitcoin at all. People greatly over-exaggerate the anonymity aspect of Bitcoin. If you make use of an online wallet service, an exchange, or any other Bitcoin related services, with or without KYC, there is no anonymity involved, and thus you can't lose it. If you want to enjoy some level of anonymity, then after cashing out your coins from whatever service, you have to run them through a mixer. Because if you don't, the services you have used can follow everything you do, and potentially even play that to the government if they end up getting forced to do so.

I don't like having a bitcoin bank, I love the way bitcoin as a decentralized digital currency, making a bitcoin bank means that it will be be centralized digital currency controllable by some group oe the government tapping on our accounts making our privacy their entertainment in their leisure. I good on how bitcoin is kept on our wallets and for me, is the reason why Satoshi Nakmoto made the currency, to manage ourown money.
as we can see that most of the people are not in favor of bitcoin banking system. most of the bitcoin users want to continue with online system as it is more reliable and trusted to them as they can use it very easily and conveniently.

They are not bothering about the secure system, the only concern is if they start bitcoin banking system again it will go into hands of the government, that's why so many people don't have any interest towards bitcoin banking system.

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

I think is not stupid idea
bitcoin bank is good, moreover bitcoin bank is real company real bank, you can withdraw fiat money to bitcoin bank office
deposit, withdraw bitcoin only one office, real office, so bitcoin user can seasy exchange bitcoin to fiat money

Really? The features of bitcoin will be limited and so the features of real bank will be applied to every bitcoin user, that will be the case if so. Bitcoin exist opposite to the bank. Bitcoin never exist to be centralized that is why it is decentralized right? Cheesy Let us think of that.

I agree with the idea bitcoin bank but this need KYC and it will kill many of us.
blockchain.info wallet no dead then we not need use bitcoin bank.

I just got my banned on coinbase, is country issue if not wrong.
so the KYC can be big killers. bitcoin bank if want do need FULL avoid on KYC.

one of the idea i think is bank backed up behind the bitcoin bank,
but as u know if like this must applied on KYC as finance control department of the country will interrupt on it.

Right, most of the people here doesn't like banks because banks means centralization and if this idea will continue and be real then we are no longer decentralized and the bank of bitcoin can be a manipulator of the market since they got the most of the supply and they can control our money. We don't need bank because even when we just created a wallet, it is already a bank for us.
Bitcoin bank just bad idea, there no reason to agree with the idea of "Bitcoin bank". While our each Bitcoin wallet act like as bank and provide good security with easy to convert digital currency to our fiat. We have full control to our wallet, their no nobody is going to control our money and need not pay tax on it.
I certainly believe it's a bad idea also, there will be more banks and we might be following the same system as fiat banking, and with that there will be a risk that we will lose the freedom we are currently enjoying now. Banking will be complicated since the KYC policy will be implemented and we are watch every time we do transactions.

I do not find the idea of bitcoin bank positive. A thought contrary to Bitcoin's philosophy. If a bitcoin bank is established, there is no difference from the current monetary system.
Many people who use bitcoins want to control their own money only by themselves. But I think that such services will be demanded in the future. So people may want to keep their money in bitcoin banks.
to me i am also not in favour of the idea of bitcoin banks, i do not think that it will be more convenient than online bitcoin wallet system, which we can use so easily from anywhere and any time. as there is no restriction of time format.

Exactly, the convenience features of bitcoin will be limited. Bitcoin wallet is enough so far though we are now being populated that causes transaction confirmation slow but then it is more good than having its bank, and I guess those atms is good so far, I guess those are enough for making transaction in bitcoin.

An opposition to banks is half the reason that Bitcoin exists.  It's decentralised so the point is that you avoid any tracking of your transactions like Coinbase does and avoid any company that acts like a bank.

Regardless, banks give interest rates.  Bitcoin is already deflationary in its current state, so there's no need for that at all.

I think this idea is not very important at all.
I mean, it wouldn't really help bitcoin adoption, at all.
And its against soul of btc.
i agree with you that bitcoin bank idea is really not important for bitcoin because is already too much secure and safe currency and there is many secure and safe wallet are available which is too much better than bank.

The idea of establishing a Bitcoin bank is a good idea any way but the question is that is it going to be operated with structures such as the convectional banking system with an headquarter and branches? or is it going to be virtually operated? As for me I will prefer the latter which will be easier to access than the former

I don't see any particular difference here

Even if regular banks start accepting bitcoins, you will most likely be able to access your Bitcoin account (i.e. send from and receive coins to) via Internet in pretty much the same way you use online banking and web wallets nowadays. If you don't have an existing account in a bank (I refer to regular accounts in fiat currencies, i.e. deposits and checking accounts), you will certainly have to visit a bank office with your identity documents to open an account there (just like you have to go to a bank today in order to open a regular fiat account in the bank)
I think he said in his question that he wasn’t talking about “banks” that only require your name and email address. Coinbase and I believe Xapo and Circle fall into that category. I know Coinbase does from personal experience

I guess you should read that poster's post again

He clearly says that he prefers "virtual" banks before offline banks just because the ease of access (read he doesn't need to visit them personally). He didn't reveal his attitude whether he cares if they require to disclose personal details or not (obviously, regular banks will certainly demand that). Other than that, I don't think many people would care much about that since they still have to provide all this info if they open regular accounts in regular banks. But they would certainly care if they should have to pay a visit to a bank office in person

In my opinion though if you are talking about banks that need more personal information about you I don’t think there really is a point in them. Coinbase though is very useful because transferring funds doesn’t take a decade.

Putting decentralized independent powerful bitcoin into a jail of a regulated outdated infrastructure dependent on a few people is a crime.
