I actually wanted to suggest this very same minor change. It doesn't have to be a large amount of spots, but we most certainly can try. However, I would definitely rather wait for all spots to fill before running because otherwise there can be some clever advantage calculation by some users joining in later. Additionally you need to put more thought into the limitations per user, i.e. how many tickets can they take and on which side to prevent said advantage calculation. You could also maybe add prizes for the top 2/3 spots as opposed to only 1 large prize.
