Looks like the game is still alive, with deposits dribbling in.  Jordoss is out through July 16, so the spreadsheet won't be updated until then.  Check blockexplorer to see the latest.

http://blockexplorer.com/address/1HrFjc5Mpz5agn8dk6LDF98V8sxDrWvUqY

To accelerate this, I'll offer to match up to 1 BTC a day for the next week.

If you deposit 1 BTC, I'll deposit 1 BTC, rinse and repeat.  Let's help each other out.

because this game dies only after 7 days from the last deposit, i have a feeling this game will go for a LOOONG time. with infinite time, this means that EVERYONE WILL GET THE PAY OUT NO MATTER WHAT. the time it takes may be a very long time though.

so everyone should play this one Smiley

lol

I ran a game like this, went for about 10-11 days.

The 6.66 BTC deposit has been paid off!

Great! My previous ideas about paying in more money were silly. Guess I hadn't had enough coffee or something. The scheme would work for the 6.66 guy, but not for anyone that had none of their payout covered.

So you're saying that this scheme wouldn't work for anyone that puts in their risk amount after someone else? You're saying this scheme wouldn't work for anyone that this PYRAMID scheme wouldn't work for? Really? /sarcasm

I think i'll put a little in hoping for the next guy to put some in. That's basically all the risk there is.

Any suggestions for the pyramid are welcome, they will likely be implemented in any future pyramids (if any), but not this one.

Yes, if you happen to know how to contact any of the people waiting for a payout, tell them how to avoid losing all their money. As I described above. The 6.66 and 7.77 guy to begin with!

Seriously, an upper limit should have been placed so that it's less likely to stop.

If it was me with the 6.66 and 7.77 deposits, I would get tired of waiting and simply pay in the balance needed to cover the payouts and fees. Then I would have made *some* profit.

Similarly for later depositors. I will do it when it gets up to my turn. If everyone does that, then the only loss is Jordoss' fee and cut etc., rather than losing the whole damn lot.

But I'm not about to pay to get my money back, more or less, until the others before me pay. It should be clear by now that no-one new is likely to make a killing, apart from the early adopters (sound familiar? Smiley).

I'm of two minds on the ethics of bitcoin pyramid games, see http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=20939.0 for more on that.

What's so cool about this game is that Jordoss runs an 'honest pyramid' that's completely transparent.  You can see all the transactions, all the winners, all the losers.  There's no deception involved, everybody knows that the people on the bottom will enrich the people on the top.

And unlike every other pyramid game on this forum, this one could go on a looooooong time.  It only stops when there are no deposits for 7 straight days, and the deposits are still coming in.

It's been cheap entertainment for me at least.

Thanks Jordoss for running a straight game!

Those of you who hate on pyramid/ponzi schemes are hypocrites if you also hold a "Social Security number" or any equivalent.

good one, I need to remember that.

At least bitcoins and bitcoin related ponzi schemes are very clearly VOLUNTARY.

I've had a Social Security number chasing me around pretty much since I was born, and I certainly didn't ask for it!

I can't believe this forums allows literal pyramid schemes.  What is wrong with you idiots?

So you'd rather the forum engage in outright censorship?

Don't like 'em, don't join 'em.  But DO NOT tell me how to spend my BTC.

Yeah seriously lol who puts that much into this thing. I doubt anyone's going to want to despoit into it now seeing as there's a giant deposit that won't likely be filled, therefore everyone who despoits infront of them will likely not get a payout
Wait, you mean the people who got in first win, the guy who runs it wins, and everyone else loses? I'm *shocked*.

Hey, those of you who still haven't gotten paid out, when it gets close to ending, you might want to deposit the minimum. There's a new supply of suckers all the time.
