one of two loans he took.. and he didn't pay them back in full.

he has also talked about himself in the 3rd person, my theory is that he manages both his own and nonnakip account as a way to avoid US regulations regarding assets.

I would not trust Og to do anything, especially as he has set the forums least trusted member onto MinerJones...

These "loans" were paid back to everyone's satisfaction even though the USD amount had skyrocketed compared to what was originally loaned and amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional debt.  This is actually a testament to the efforts I will go through to repay debts in a scenario when most people would have run away.  Also of note, the biggest debtor was myself personally, as I lended more than 100 BTC of my own funds.

I also didn't "set" anyone on minerjones.  His behavior has gotten so bad it's hard to ignore.  Others would most likely act as well, but they probably don't want to face threads like this being made about them in retaliation.  Since my reputation is impeccable, I felt like it was time to stand up and the reaction from minerjones only solidifies my claims.

So by standing up against MJ you just set QS on him? Or is this another 3rd person quote and you are QS??

years ago and on and off ever since it was pointed out that OgNasty is indeed a scammer
at any time he could have turned around his mining operation by closing up and making people whole again in Bitcoin terms
but he kept on and on taking in bitcoin from newbies and 'fans' with no hope of making any positive roi for them
he abused my trust rating for pointing out this truth - a badge I shall wear with pride

Oh sheeit. This kinda changes things. Maybe OgNasty does have a dark side after all.

Never dealt with the guy, but have been following his... endeavors... over the years.

I'd lay odds he hasn't kept to proper accounting standards.. how many times did he put his hand in the cookie jar??

If you review the thread, you'll see that I once donated ~19 BTC to the organization out of my own pocket as a thank you to fans after the project received so much more support than I was expecting.  As usual, your assumptions are 100% incorrect.
[/quote]

easy to ignore my question..

OgDogg, do you have all accounting documents for the last 4 years of NastyFans?
this includes all second hand sales and purchases.

in answer to the above, it would be easy to put 19BTC in if you are taking 190BTC out.

All things bitcoin can be related unto a ponzi.

The reason for this is due to increased value in aged coins.

As we share bitcoin with new people they invest and it pays aged coins by increasing their value. That's the real reason it's always better to have gotten in yesterday.

I think OGnasty should give me my .25BTC back before the value is more than a human life.

My understanding is that anything BTC inevitably gains value.

I really wanted to participate in the nastymining concept before I realized how much of a scammer OGnasty was.

Could someone with integrity start a similar project?

Look.  I own Nastyfans seats.  I deal with both ognasty and minerjones on a regular basis.  I feel like without solid proof of Nastyfans being a Ponzi scheme, this is a bit of an overreach.

MJ, can you prove that Nastyfans is a Ponzi scheme?

I do know that og is mining, and sells physical coins to help make distributions.  I don't believe overly high returns were ever promised.

"A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investing scam promising high rates of return with little risk to investors. The Ponzi scheme generates returns for older investors by acquiring new investors."

I personally don't agree with the assessment that NF is a Ponzi scheme.

I don't like to get involved in forum drama, as it seems silly to me.   However if accusations about an organization are thrown around, I would like to see some sort of proof.

I find it funny how some members of the D2 "death squad" have only commented here so far and haven't made it rain with red paint yet. Are they scared ?  Roll Eyes
That's often the case when the accused is another DT member. It is very clear that if you leave a negative rating to OgNasty, DT2 or not, you will receive a retaliatory rating which will probably reflect on some possible wrongdoings of yours from the past. A list of everyone who has ever left a negative to him:
minerjones
hellot
isoneguy
TMAN
TwitchySeal
game-protect
All of them are red, i.e. OgNasty has left them negative ratings. Two minor exception: hellot (rating countered by me) and TwitchySeal (rating countered by EcuaMobi).

If you are specifically referring to me, then I should state that I probably should not get involved as I have both business (ACE & CET) and personal interactions with minerjones on a daily basis (among other things).

"Spare change" I like that.
BITCOINS DISTRIBUTED:
720.81BTC
It should be kept in mind that (currently) 162.76BTC of that was distributed within the organization (to NastyMining) and 0.2BTC of that was used as transaction fees.
It should also be kept in mind that there is almost 4BTC not yet distributed throughout the organization, for whatever reason.
It should also be kept in mind that a large amount of that BTC figure was likely distributed within the early days of Bitcoin when a larger amount of Bitcoin was required to purchase a seat.

Now let's look at some practical examples of the huge amounts distributed by NastyFans.
This coin has had a seat associated with it since 2013. It has so far earned around 0.004BTC from the NastyFans program.
This coin has been active for coming on a year, earning the massive total of around 0.0003BTC in that time.
This coin has been active for over two years and has earned a total of around 0.0074BTC. However, this coin has five seats directed towards it, meaning that it makes sense this coin has earned more. This coin has earned around 0.0015BTC per seat on the coin.
You can see more examples here. Keep in mind that any coin with a large amount of Bitcoin on it was likely funded through other means than NastyFans.

While I don't know how much these coins originally cost in BTC, I can almost guarantee that is significantly more than whatever they have earned + silver and minting costs is worth currently.

Your proposed project sounds a lot like what a YouTube content creator does, only they don't distribute anything back to supporters.  I imagine if you went through with it, you could have some success if you had any talent or a well internally developed platform others could also use.  Wasn't this what Friends of Satoshi was trying to accomplish?
A YouTube creator doesn't market its self as an investment platform. My scenario was also completely made up, in an attempt to show how absurd the notion of 'fun and coolness > profit' is for an investment platform.
Perhaps a better example would have been a gambling website that allows for investment. Such a website provides much more fun (whether it be through the gambling or interacting with others using a chat function), and most likely provides a much better ROI.

Uhhh.. so your accusation is he isn't 100% focused on profit and instead does things cause they're cool and fun?
If fun and cool is what matters then you should give me your money instead. Rather than spending it funding free electricity for an organization I have a great financial interest in (and conveniently having said free electricity wired to my own home), I'll travel the world looking for fun and cool things to take pictures of.

Pretty sure that was said up front.. I actually read his solar project thread yesterday and thought it was very cool..
