Supply and demand

I'm acutely aware of the low supply and high demand, and I understand why there is a low supply of Noctii.

My question is about the high demand relative to other coins.  Does the Binary Eagle just look the coolest or what?  Cheesy

Yes the Binary eagle is the coolest! Cheesy

Crypto-Binary Eagle to the rescue!!!!

I have a .1 lealana series 1 silver bitcoin graded MS69 by ANACS (not buyer funded). How much do you think that's currently worth? *not trying to sell it by the way. Not to brag too much, but I also have the cryptolator 10 deadly sins set in copper.      Grin

As you suggest, there are auctions on Stacks Bowers and Heritage every month were collectors spend 100k plus on a US 1 cent from 1798 or the like.

If they come for our Casascius down the road it could be spectacular.

I can't believe those coins sold for that much. I just sold one of my empty Cryptolators ungraded but just like that one for $200 cash to a friend that kept begging for me to sell him a coin. Oops! Glad I still have the rest of my coins.

MS69 is one grade shy of a perfect score.  Those are very rare (less so for ANACS than PCGS, but only the former grades crypto tokens).

And BTCT is much more of a seller's market (IE many buyers competing) than you and your friends.

Good on you for hooking up a pal; hopefully that will stop his begging!  Cheesy

Just wait until more Oldbugs (derogatory term for #NeverCrypto goldbugs who still refuse to embrace Bitcoin) wake up and start running after the train.

Many of them are fat rich old Boomers (think Peter Schiff & and Kitco/Sprott/KingWorldNews ratfuckers like John Hathaway and Bob Moriarty).

More than a few from this millionaire/billionaire investor class collect numismatic and bullion coins, so when they board the crypto clue train I expect today's physical token prices will look very inexpensive.

At prices remotely close current market rates, there are simply not enough rare/authentic/pristine Golden Age (2009-2011) and Silver Age (2012-2016) coins to go around.

When Casascius/Lealana/Cryptonic/Kialara masterpieces begin hitting high-end Sotheby/Christie type fine art auctions attended by Arab/Asian/Anglo money people, look for a high-profile mania to ensure. Cool

Interesting thought, I hope you are correct.  As you suggest, there are auctions on Stacks Bowers and Heritage every month where collectors spend 100k plus on a US 1 cent from 1798 or the like. If they come for our Casascius down the road it could be spectacular.
