How did these end up unfunded and get COAS still?
Per as always with Lealana, any coins that include a COA would require funding.
Per original post for kams, which the link is on this thread, it states: "Certificates - Only funded coins will receive a paper certificate."
From the OP sales thead:
Funding - Not a requirement. Coins not funded will be marked "BTCUYER FUNDED" on their respective hologram. Face value of each coin is 1BTC should you choose to fund it.

going through the imgur album it doesnt look like buyer funded was marked on the holo either, the fact that MJ has stated these are not funded is good enough, interesting though that neither of these things happened to an unfunded set.
