Nice ASIC you have there....

Can you please give us a few more details?  Is that the cube we keep hearing about?  What speed did you manage to get out of it?

Woohoo, Nice and neat Smiley

You would be better off converting that to BTC and then buy and sell mining power with Cex.io utilizing the latest Bitfury chips. This way your not stuck with hardware that is useless. If you buy/sell GHs you can at least recoup some of the cost back when you decide your finished mining or want your investment back.

It's 30ghash for $600,

so,   quite horrible

30gh - 38gh oc'd for 600   is not dirt cheap but it is okay for some under the correct conditions.

Any home in the USA that has electric heat would do well with this as a supplement to the heating bill.    Now if you are in Miami FL it is not that good. But if you have a home in Virginia or Tennesse with electric heat this is a good piece of gear.

Okay i have about 1600 and i want to start something out even if i can't mine btc ill mine dem or some other alt coin.

I will be mining for charity debra is the name of the charity ive been paying each month to this charity.
So since i don't have to pay power at my office i figured i would run a rig and give what i earn to the chairty its self.
I love the concept of trading coins theres a rush to it so ima just mine, trade and dump them into charity.

I would like to see what deals people know and could help out with they can be new or used as long as they were never broken.

Looking for:
Decent hash rate 50-100ghash
Decent price nothing over 1600 unless i see its worth it.
Whole sale deals or sites that anyone can offer or knows of.

-Note-
Im not asking for btc.
Not asking for shares.
I want to get this all done with in the next few days so if you guys could help me out that would be nice.

0 power  has some meaning.   next week asic miner's cube comes out  cost for 1 cube will be 2btc or 600usd. may work well for you.  1 cube mines 30-38gh

Most of those alt-coins are scrypt-based. There aren't any ASICs I'm aware of that work with scrypt-based coins. All the ASICs I'm aware of work only with SHA-256 coins, in which BTC is the most profitable, as far as I know. You need GPUs to mine scrypt-based coins.

And that's why I mine Litecoin atm with my three Radeon HD 7970s... I really would have stuck with Bitcoin had difficulty not shot up the roof.

Here is the issue...

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=510929738.01615&dcosts=1445&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=80000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=335&dpowcon=320&btcusd_mincrease=2&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=40&dleadtime=1&action=calc#

I have plugged in this miner -- 80Ghash...
http://advancedminers.com/bitcoin-mining-hardware/80ghs-bitcoin-miner/

It's $1445
80 GHash
Assume 30% upward jumps
a $330 USD BTC
2% increase in BTC value per jump etc...
(I have the power set too high -- but even so -- no payback.)

Note that you never get paid back...

Their 128GHash machime
http://advancedminers.com/bitcoin-mining-hardware/amt-128-ghs-bitcoin-miner/

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=510929738.01615&dcosts=2199&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=128000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=335&dpowcon=160&btcusd_mincrease=2&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=40&dleadtime=1&action=calc#

Their Machines at 320GHash and upwards do seem to pay back.

The Jupiter from KNCMiners should pay back as well.
https://www.kncminer.com/categories/miners

Play with the numbers -- see if you can find a comfort zone.

Otherwise -- with $1600 as they said -- buy and hold some BTC -- that may be more risk than you need.

Any machine less than 1.2THash seems to be a bet on BTC rising...

Seriously don't buy any hardware, buy coins instead, you can thank me later.

I am going to say this, but since Bitcoin price went up so much it might not be a good idea to invest now...

or it may go to 800 spot and never correct back to these current levels.  just don't know.
