Yes, but there are a ton of free email services where they could make a new account. If anything, the survey is less anonymous because the forum admins can see how you voted. Given that, do you still think I'd have more success if I automated the process and made it a web service?

I don't know if this is the case, but anyway you don't lose anything for trying.

Don't guarantee it. Tell them, though, that it's another form of currency and that it potentially opens up a nice market, including a good number of, well, geeks that don't trust Big Bank and don't want a credit card.

OP- Great idea to approach them. However, conducting a poll here is probably not a good market indicator. You should poll a group of people who are already subscribing to Kink and see whether they would prefer to have an anonymous payment method in which personal financial details are not stored on the company's server.
While polling current subscribers might be a good idea if you can do it, keep in mind that they'll probably be less interested on average. They've already given their credit card info, so obviously that wasn't a dealbreaker for them.
