That's why I love this coin so much.  Maybe even more than Auroracoin.  That many people on reservations are poverty stricken and face other struggles means this coin, if successful, can make a HUGE difference.  If you read the dispersion plan, they don't plan just to give this coin to the Lakota people but to non-profits that serve them as well.

This coin, when it becomes valuable like Auroracoin can completely change the fate of a sovereign people.  THAT is something I can get behind and excites me to no end.

It looks like there is a bit of a spring starting to build up - the BTC's are starting to flow in...

Cool  Shocked

The only thing holding down this coin is the crappy exchange where it is traded.

I tweeted @mintpalexchange to get this coin onboard quick.

Looks like MZC/BTC pair is under maintenance....  last price was .000025  BTC  ... not bad since yesterday it was like .000005 ... up 5 times.

A Post Launch Statement From The Creator Of MazaCoin

Wednesday - February 26, 2014  10:00 AM ET USA

When I designed MazaCoin I did so with a projected life span of at least a century. MazaCoin is not only a global Crypto Currency, but the Sovereign National Coinage of a people and culture so ancient it boggles the mind. The Oglala Lakota are the most direct genetic descendants of the Clovis, the very first Native Americans in what is now called the USA. The history of the Clovis dates back at least 12,000 years and quite possible much more. So for the Oglala Lakota, a year, five years - even a century, is but a speck in the sands of time.

MazaCoin was designed to be real, usable money - not a pump and dump scrypt coin. Anyone who gets involved in MazaCoin looking to make a fast buck is in for a serious disappointment. The one year target for MazaCoin is between 0.25 and 1.00 USD per MazaCoin. The five year target is between 2.00 and 3.00 USD per MazaCoin. This is the sort of slow gentle deflation curve that I spoke of in the MazaCoin White Paper, and this slow curve is what ultimately will make MazaCoin a premier global Crypto Currency and a truly usable National coinage for the Oglala Lakota Nation.

The MazaCoin Development Team welcomes everyone from the worldwide Crypto Community to join us, to develop services and to invest and mine MazaCoin. But if you are doing so looking to cash out next week with big profits, you need to seek out one of the latest "Meme" coins - because MazaCoin is simply not designed to behave that way.

SHA-256 means individudal little gpu miner can't get in.

Only the ASIC miners can jump in, but they are busy with bitcoin mining.
I think algorithm must be changed to something else.

Everyone knows the indians like handouts. This will go over great with them.  Grin

Another clueless remark.

Sovereign Indian Nation -  Here is the wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribal_sovereignty_in_the_United_States

Tribal sovereignty in the United States is the inherent authority of indigenous tribes to govern themselves within the borders of the United States of America.

That is why Indian nations can run Casinos in the U.S..  In general only State governments can run gambling in the U.S.

It doesn't matter that there are just 10 people in the entire reservation!

What matters is that it is recognized as the official currency of the Lakato Nation.  This is a sovereign nation.

Do you understand what that means?

It means it is "Legal Tender".   You can't ban currency of another nation.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND???
