I had that same feeling too =D It's just a demo to illustrate how micro payments could work.


I was wondering about that too, that's why I did a test, they payout alright quite surprising.

I believe it works as follows:

1. People link to this cryptoo.me site via "faucets"

2. People put advertisements on their site to "finance" the same bloody faucets.

3. Apperently some of that Ads revenue is dumped into cryptoo.me

4. Slot game allows deposite/money creation at cryptoo.me.

5. I come along and "download" the water ! LOL.

It's funny as hell. THANKS ADS ! LOL.

No lol, you found a win to always win but this is not good enough to actually get a shit load of coins.

What I found goes way beyond that. But you did awaken me to these possibilities !

I have decided to install bitcoin 0.20 and download the blockchain onto a portable usb harddisk.

The software says, it's been 6 years and some weeks or something since I last ran bitcoin cool. Moving to different dir and setting direct option in icon/shortcut went smooth. Bit disappointed bitcoin doesn't ask this at start or has no GUI for it, but it's not bad.

The downloading of the blockchain according to the program will take roughly 23 hours ! =D Now down to 20 hours, it keeps getting a little better good. 19 hours... hmmm... First it started with 2 weeks and my initial reaction was: HOLYSHIT LOL. But it got better/faster quickly !

WOW... It dropped back down to 8 days or so.

I am guessing these peers don't like sending many gigabytes of data, or something else is causing the slow down... maybe verification... or maybe my somewhat loading of webpages might slow it down... I see ping times to peer go into the thousands...

It may be that bitcoin 0.20 has some kind of blockchain download issue... not sure though.  Kinda disappointing to see no speed up in this regards... oh well...

I guess bitcoin is a thing of lots of patience lol.
