I just hope that the Philippines would adopt the same because most of the transactions here in the country are P2P for buying products and services online. Only a handful of physical stores are accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies here in the Philippines for now (mostly in National Capital Region area). Unfortunately for me, I've already renewed mine last year which is good for 10 years.

Every week had turned out to be good these recent months, or should I say all what we preach since 2009 is now manifesting. It just matters time and everything transaction in the world would require an option of choosing Btc or Fiat. There is an ongoing thread by filippone showing bitcoin treasuries which shows how huge amount of bitcoin had been purchased by different companies. I'm pretty sure more adoption will take place in the coming future.

Maybe we're heading to a global adoption soon, early this year good stories started flowing into the industry and shortly before the ease of the knockdown(during the slow down of the virus) the PayPal news surfaced and withing some few weeks US passport can be obtained with bitcoin, what a wonderful year is 2020, a year to remember, no wonder is a unique year. Satoshi N was and still a living legend for this invention that's bringing the world into a freedomnomic state, hope to see more merchants and vendors accepting this Bitcoin as payment method.

Paying with bitcoin for passport is a good step forward. Bitcoin as a payment for name change, renewal and few other services might get followed by more other countries. Now these service providers will accept bitcoin through a third party and then pay the government in terms of fiat. Somehow this is good for bitcoin spreading.

We always want a progressive movement for bitcoin and this is a good example for that.

Adopting bitcoin in many kinds of transactions are really effective and useful to make bitcoin community grow more.

Can you imagine, you can pay your passports with bitcoin when you want to make one? That's really a good sign that bitcoin is approaching the mainstream and it is getting more popular in some businesses. It is really rare look for a third party that allows bitcoin to be transacted. Hopefully, bitcoin adoption of businesses should continuously grow.

It only keeps getting better with each passing day. This just provides another option for people who would use their services. As more and more platforms turned to Bitcoin and other cryptos for payments, It will definitely lead to mass adoption and with the way things are going, it won't be long until that happens. It's just a matter of time before more companies get on board the bandwagon. In the near future, almost everything will be available for people to either buy or sell.

Admiring news, shows that something good is happening every day to let btc keep its rally on as it is getting a new reason daily to carry on. Using btc to pay for our passport means btc is now getting involved in the centralized systems and this is very good, they will know about the legend of btc now and inspire unaware people to know more about it and use it. More and more adoption every day, I am glad.

This is a great news for the Bitcoin and it seems like awareness about Bitcoin is reaching the relevant departments and businesses as we are hearing acceptance of Bitcoin by businesses everyday and this is definately a sign of acceptance but still there would always be a challenge of stability and fluctuations and I am not sure how business owners or government institutions are going to cope up with the financial deficits which will be caused due to volatility.

Bitcoin is slowly adapted by the community and it is a matter of time where people will decide whether to use the fiat currency or the cryptocurrency. This like a centralized currency mix by the decentralized currency. For me, this is not a bad idea because there is no perfect system if it is an absolute like absolute centralization system the same thing with absolute decentralization system (vice versa). A good system for an efficient and effective system to be used should be a mixed of decentralized and centralized system.
and it is good right? quite impressive. We can use bitcoin to travel, this is what we cannot do in the past years but now we can do it, we can see that as time passes by people are adapting the technology and they are also get interested in crypto and its benefits.

It is just by before crypto keep dominating everywhere. If bitcoin can believably used to pay for a passport services and I am very sure we are close to seen it being used frequently in many other sectors and even in government own establishment. What so ever make them to take this step, I am very sure the current price surge and also adoption by paypal might have an impact in making them consider bitcoin too

This is cool and all, but it isn't it time for people on this forum (at least) to not be surprised when a company finally decides to accept Bitcoin for payment? I'm not trying to be snarky, i know it's coming across that way. But we've been preach adoption for at least 5 years (really longer, but trying to be fair here). The only news here is that a new company has finally seen the light.

Also...how much are these decisions from business owners to accept bitcoin related to their belief that accepting bitcoin will increase their business as opposed to their will to own bitcoin themselves and recognizing that facilitating bitcoin payments could allow them to avoid reporting taxes on the sale (like taking cash for payment).

It's all good...just think we need to mature our expectations!

This is definitely a good step for Bitcoin adoption. I remember that in 2018 I met all sorts of announcements of the purchase of citizenship of various banana republics, which are difficult to find on the map, and now 2 years have passed and now a US passport can be bought for bitcoins.

PayPal, US passport, who's next? Smiley

So is. I am thinking beyond that and it occurs to me that the adoption of Bitcoin will come from the USA. We are observing several companies joining Bitcoin, which means that businesses and institutions want to evolve to digital technology. We will probably see the best products competing in the market.

Whenever there is a momentum in the price you would see these kind of announcements, in 2013 there was a massive adoption where many online companies started accepting BTCitcoin then it died down because of the transaction delays and the fees and now we are hearing these again.

If PayPal allows you to withdraw the coins then i would see that as an adoption, hopefully they will allow that in the future, when it comes to passport even if my countries passport authority starts accepting BTCitcoin i would pass that offer Wink.

It's great that bitcoin is becoming widely accepted. The adoption of bitcoin is increasing which is a good news for us. If we can pay bitcoin for getting a passport then it will become easy and hassle free,  you do not have to line up to get a passport.

Im expecting that everybody would go in line when it comes to Bitcoin adoption. It is really good to see that they are already recognizing its existence.
Sooner or later we would really be seeing that lots of merchants, services will be accepting this mode of payment.
This is what we want for these kind of news.It do somehow give some boost up and you can really have that positivity that we would really be seeing bitcoin
for more future years due to this acceptance or recognition of services.
