A correction was to be expected after last year's bull run. Hopefully, that correction is about over. With all the investment in infrastructure etc, the price will pick up soon. I bought quite a bit above the current level but I'm not complaining - I'm in it for the long haul & still believe the best days are ahead of us.

This year isn't over. Bitcoin was up every single year since inception in 2009, I don't think this year will be an exception.

GTFO here with your facetious bullshit.

If a Bitcoin investor bought 6 months ago and held right up until today he would:

A) Have approx doubled his money

B) Also be wanting to put a gun to his head and blow his own brains out for not cashing out at $1100, $1000, $900 etc etc.

This place is a vast improvement after putting the pothead on ignore. Or crack. Or whatever he blew his single digit coins on.

LOL @ Ibian the fkn noob retard who has a net buy-in price of around $800!

Bought in at $100. But all the way up 'on the dips'...cos every dip is just a temporary retrace!

Enjoy sitting around for months, if not years with your capital tied up in one of the most risky assets on the face of the planet just in order to break even.

Doubling your money is your worst case scenario for the last 6 months... ouch!

Only a fkn arsehole would cherry pick such a 'fact' and broadcast it.

If someone bought in 6 months ago, and have held all this time, then they are a fkn idiot.

Couldn't have said it better myself...

Ask those who are holding since 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, oktober 2013... jp, bad investment  Grin

IMO not very wise to try to predict the future based on the past.

@OP that is also very dumb to have a feeling looking at a chart.

THIS too.

All the "here is a chart, and here's a few lines on it" crap that circle this board is utter tripe. You cannot predict this market. You can get a few guesses right and pontificate about how brilliant you are about coming good on what is essentially a coinflip (plenty of that around here, mentioning no names) ... but no one can predict what is going to happen. If it were possible, they would be billionnaires. Generally these people are playing the game with less than one coin.

Bottom line: Don't listen to ANYONE here (including me) about price direction because, more often than not, they are pursuing their own agenda which can only work with you doing the opposite.
You are quite the conspiracy theorist.

It's called human nature, not conspiracy.

You think it's questionable to recommend that people use their own brain rather than listen to their fellow competitors?

Talk about short-termism, is a 6 month 122% gain not enough?

GTFO here with your facetious bullshit.

Wrong. They want to blow their brains out because they invested in Bitcoin 6 months ago instead of 36 months ago.

Unbelievable.

Look, everyone's sorry that you happened to buy at the peak of the market. But if you can judge an investment good or bad based on 30 days, you need to have your head examined or go and chuck your money in an interest account and grab your 1% at the end of the year.
Now you're just assuming things, I never hold bitcoin longer than a day.

I'm judging this based on 5 months of constant declines (after 5 years of constant increases). You have the blinders on.

I couldn't give a shit about the price.

You're day trading in an obviously heavily bearish market, I'm not sure what you expect to happen?

That's if you bought exactly 6 months ago, everyone who bought over the last 5 months has been completely screwed. Really stupid to ignore that.

No just stupid thinking from those buyers how they will get rich quick!

Mat, you're just butthurt because you fucked up your short. That's fine, but spouting bullshit here day and night about how terrible bitcoin is will not get your money back.

What WOULD be stupid to ignore is that people are quick to lump some money into Bitcoin, the highest risk investment ever, and so quick to come and moan when they 'lose' money.

BTC is no 120 day investment, that's for sure!  Roll Eyes
It's not even a good 1 day investment, it's down $15 since yesterday, just constantly inexorably declining.

Holding BTC (instead of spending them) is no "investment" at all. It's pure speculation.

Just look at this chart. Hemorrhaging money no matter when you buy this year. Looking at the broad picture I get a feeling we're gonna end up at $100.
