I thought about something, if the number has been guessed but the guess was cancelled : for exemple it could have been guessed with a post edited or it was the second post or more of that player that day; we don't know that so the players that looked at what numbers have been tried don't guess the winning number and it could be a while before we have a winner 
Maybe OP could tell us that the number has never been guessed, even by a "cancelled" guess; we are getting to the last 100 numbers, we should have a winner very soon

Maybe, but when we will have "all" on one list, we can check for false positives on the list.
Right now I am betting on just bad luck and a lot of people doublechecking, because they are lazy.

Yes it is part of the game and when we have guessed every number it will come down to the false positive number
