In my opinion is more likely $50k until the end of year than 50 by the end of year, and I would not bet 1 cent for BTC reaching 50k this year, no matter the odds

It's ok to sell micro parts sometimes to have some fun with your success, but never get addicted to it or you will lose the future rewards.

that's why I don't sell. just hold. you can sell off small amounts of your coins at certain levels. 10k, 50k, 100k, 250k. but always hold majority of coins. but it will take years. not expecting 5k anytime soon.

There are a number of threads currently making astronomical price predictions. The shortest term thread claims Bitcoin will go to 1200-1300 by the end of this month. I flatly don't believe Bitcoin's price will reach that target before July 1st. I hope the other longer term prediction threads come true but I'm skeptical. Most of them are similar to this one, and claim Bitcoin will go to thousands of dollars before the end of the year.

Thanks for the heads up OP, if we go anywhere near $5000 by the end of the year then I will give you $500 for your little prediction.

If you quote this you know it is here for you to collect should we go over $4000.

However much I would obviously like that I don't see us going over $500 by the end of the year, let alone $5k.

i mostly think that whales are going to keep the price down to accumulate more then pump the price next year to have better profits.

Nah. The halving is too far away to drive the price over $2k before this year's end. I think that's the absolute roof for this year. I'm confident to say that we will not see $2000 dollar bitcoin (except for some fringe sales, maybe. But definitely not a reliable rise above $2k), not until sometime late 2016 or sometime 2017. $5000 isnt a realistic goal until 2018, I'm afraid.

Bubbles are cool, but they are a bitch if you end up screwing up. You never know if the price will get a small correction, or a huge one. Say we reach 5000, price goes back 4700. You think "oh, the correction hasn't even begun, we'll probably go back to at least near the last ATH". So your plan is to keep waiting for something near 1.3. But guess what, it doesn't happen, and unexpected whales and legit buyers keep pushing the price up, and the price starts going up again from 4700 to something unexpected such as 7000, and then it starts peaking there and having a big correction... see, there are tons of ways to lose money, but my biggest fear is being left behind outside the market, as a long term holder that's what scares me to sell, because you can't never be sure if you are perceiving an obvious bubble or you are selling at the tip of an huge iceberg.
