Let's say two teams tie. Team "A" has 9 bets and team "B" has 1 bet. How are the winnings divided? Are they split evenly at .1 each? I think it's more fair to reward half the BTC to each winning side keeping the odds in proportion to the payout and rewarding those picking the unlikely team. The payouts would be 0.0556 for the 9 bets on team A and .5 for the bet on team B.

That's a great suggestion, but that situation actually came up in last week's contest (Seahawks and Bengals both scored 41) and we divided the winnings evenly among the winners.

Given the precedent we will keep the same rules for this week (all winners are paid equally), but in future contests we may add that rule.

Thanks for the feedback!

that would be great because i was on bengals last contest and i felt very bad when seahawks tied with them

Yes that would be much more fair. For example, almost everyone is choosing the broncos this week as they are probably the most likely to win this. If the broncos tie with another longshot team that only had one person choose it, it just wouldnt be fair for the person who chose the longshot against all odds team to win the same amount as the relatively safe pick of the broncos.
