Hey bud, you posted this same topic TWICE. I would suggest to lock the other one. Anyway, I also had this decision, to buy alts or hold. But I've seen good price of ETH and I am now holding 75% of my funds and 25% to two alts. That's how I diversify my trading funds.
I would suggest to check always the best coins you should buy and check their value on market so that you can decide on what should do
I have increased my portfolio. I Have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking it will pave out. I wish i bough altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.
I was watching when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. Wish I had invested in it when My gut instincts was for it.

It's a good idea to keep an money in the ethereum, but if you want to take a chance, then just invest in altoquin. To my mind, in order to be sure, you can hold it for any time. But, in order to risk, you can buy altcoins. For example, AION. It has good future.
trade eth to usd. Back and forth. Use the profit (if any) to invest in good ico's. Do a lot of research and trust no trollbox. 
If you have little money. Do not take chances. The price of the ethereum will grow to 1000 - 1500. Unknown coins can generally fly out of the stock exchange. You were advised here to buy a lot of good coins. Buy a small part of many of them. And look for profit.
The best idea will be split it on 30-40 alt coins. Find some promising coins in other topics here and buy them all. Then forget about your invesments for 0.5 year and prepare for a good profit

Patience is the man key in this business. Panic is never, never good advisor. In my opinion Etherium will go over a thousand in a short period of time, so I will advise you to hold, but in the end of the day is your call.
Brother one thing i have learned so far, that if you want to be success here you need patience, as your patience will give you reward. you can trust you instinct in a cheaper coin but in an expensive coin false instinct can bear you with a heavy loss. always do some search and then invest. i think this way

i lost some on confido also. did you see the announcement on the confido website about paying us back some of our losses? I'm not sure if it is also a scam but it got my hopes up a little bit anyways.
if you want quick profit, you can trade, buy low and sell high. if you want to hold eth, your profit will be long, because eth is a long term investment.
If I were you, I would have kept it until some really good investment comes up, then invested it on that. Never buy anything that convinces you %99 to buy it, only wait for %100.
Holding the your eth wont give you x4 or even more in a day,i got a good trade today which i invested 1BTC to NXT after 6long hours it turned to 4btc isnt that great?

It is good to diversify. If you dont need to free up resources for trade, I would hang on the 1 ETH.
i think the best idea to do is buying altcoins. why?
in the best case, ethereum can do x2 or x3.
about altcoins, if you can find a good project, you can make easily x20 or even x100.

It is a lottery. Buy several different altсoin from the first 20 coinmarketcap
I think you have to think like a lot of people when start with crytoword. big profit is what we want and of course it comes with risks. investment with other altcoin if luck smiles with you, the profits will be greater than the storage ETH. However the selection of the altoin would be appropriate. I think that you should challenge
with 1 ETH, I thought this better to hold than you buy some altcoin. but, actually, this depends on what altcoin you mean. some altcoin, have a bright future with a fast growth. 
I recommend to Hold it, we dont know ETH will REACH 1,5K USD next year.
Sell your ether while its still up in bitcoin rates. Buy few altcoins, I recommend you to buy BLUE if you want to earn quick.
