What makes me smile more than the answers is to read that for some it seems impossible that the total market, not 1 coin, arrives at 1 trillion .....
WAKE UP!!!! The market only arrived at 0.8 trillion just 15 days ago and most likely around May-June we will be on 3 trillion.
I did not say Ripple at 38 $ but 30 $ .... and I want to remember that the other coins move in dollars and satoshi, that is if ETH goes from 0.1btc to 0.2 btc and in turn Btc goes from $ 12000 to $ 25000, this means that Eth passes from around $ 1100 today to $ 4500- $ 5,000, precisely because of the "leverage effect" of bitcoins

I think it's completely possible.
Many new speculators and random investors will enter the crypto in 2018. Regular press is filled with crypto articles on daily basis.
Why I cannot ague with you, is because with cryto currencies, it's more like no price is impossible to reach nor beat. But the price your are calling that is really heavy. Anyways, the year is still fresh containing lots of surprises (which might be good or bad).

Anything is possible on this crypto market which marketcap can reach up new heights but talking on the numbers you are preferring here to then I would say its a little bit exaggerated to have those assumptions. That would be too much to consider and 1 trillion market cap wont really be a simple thing to achieve and how much more since we are talking how many trillions here. Ripple? From mathematical point of view, Bitcoin is close to wedge. In terms of technology, I call it Ethereum.
The top 3 coins don't need to pump much, just sustain their BTC values or double it, then it will already be much higher in value.
I also don't think that top-3 coins can be pumped so hard this year. I think it's possible for bitcoin to reach, maybe, 30k this year, but it will be only ~500k market cap. 1 trillion is too unrealistic for me.
I think that only bitcoin will really can be 1 Trillion, but no one of coin will hit that in 2018.. BTC will cost about $30000 and ETH - $4500 by the end of the year, but in it is my prediction.
Definitely ether. Bitcoin has now reached the terminus. It has proven to be an ancient crypto without any application. The costs of trnsation and slowness will destroy it

No individual coin will hit 1 trillion in 2018, for sure. Maybe the total market cap can.
BTC and ETH are without any doubt. BTC is still trusted by majority of people. This is the fact.
ETH is the most useful and applicable for future progress.

should really be patient in order to invest in the long term so that the coin is owned be worth 1 trillion. of course, it will take more than five years. 
The market cap of all the crypto-coin will go at least 5 times this year. So, the small coin has also great potential like the Dogecoin, Litecoin, Ripple also. If they are not going towards a huge market cap but for investors, it will be the luckiest coin. But, Bitcoin must go above 1 trillion dollars of the market cap this year end.
I think that people see the faults of bitcoin. More often than not, I see new investors talking about Ripple. With that being said, I think that the first to hit $1 trillion will likely be ethereum, followed by either ripple or bitcoin. It just all depends on whether people see ripple as a tool of the big banks to control crypto.

nothing on those three will reach $1 trillion and either any crypto can..we can see now that all coins has struggling to climb up due to the big dumps couple weeks ago,and added that ethereum,bitcoin and ripple faces lots of issue out each others . This will not happen in this year, In my opinion that decimal doesn't make sense. To pump the major crypto it's not easy like you said. So many FUD try to prevent any pump right now. it could become a serious problem to the crypto in the future. How so many countries are spreading crap news about crypto.
