In no case do not believe such spammers. With the advent of cryptocurrencies, spam can be said to have revived and it has become more on our mails and social networks, too. 10% per day is impossible, no one can guarantee you such income over a long distance.

Hello everyone,

last week I was contacted by someone on Instagram. They said if I invest with them into Bitcoin, I will get 10% ROI every day and at the end of the month I will receive the payout. He said the minimum deposit is 0.05 BTC.
He said this:
I work under a mining software service which is responsible for providing good mining hash rates and there's a target of bitcoins to be mined under the pool so by offering cloud mining services we're able to generate high traffic which increases mining speed so we can work more efficiently to each our targets and by doing so we offer profits to investors in return.

At first this seemed like a good offer but I don't know, I'm not that experienced with Bitcoin. He also has a certificate of Certified Blockchain Expert. He has quite a lot of followers and the Instagram profile is quite old. I think if this was a scam they would report the profile? I would rather not share the profile...

I would like some opinions from you experienced people please Smiley

Thanks and best regards

Let it be clear as crystal! There is no 10%/day sustainable/consistent return in this world! If something like this exists why would someone share it with others? Clearly it is not for money. Be very careful, as you maybe realized the internet is full of scams and conmen. Like our parents used to say when we were kids: don't trust strangers - so why would you trust someone you never met in real life & even then you need to be extra cautious.

I cannot believe people fall for this when good money could be invested on legit projects.

Greediness often prevent people from using their brains. 10% daily is crazy haha even 2% or 3%. No mining, trading, arbitrage robot can do this successfully and regularly. Newbies hear about high gains in the crypto market, and they really may happen, but there are also big losses every day. No continuous gain. There's no need to investigate much to say that some things are frauds.

I don't think it's easy to make money easily by sending money to others. What you told us is most likely a scam. If he has such high profits, I think he will not come to you, an unknown person.

All such offers are clearly a scam. Delete and stay away. Do never send any founds to those accounts as you will never got them back.

It is 100% loss and not 10% profit.

Better buy official coin from the exchange and do some staking. There are many coins out there that can provide you some nice passive income.

Thanks for all that info Lauren. The thing with this is, even if it seemed impossible to me (10% a day), you have some hope, that you are one of the few who is going to take advantage. When you get contacted the first time with that kind of offer you think all but realistically. From now on I will of course know, but it's a totally different thing the first time.

I think the thing that saved me was the fact I already invested in Bitcoin and her offer was very suspicious, but I was hoping this was a new method and so on... You start dreaming but you shouldn't I know Smiley

Anyways this is a closed case, I hope others learn from it as well and thanks everyone for the help!

Always ask yourself, why just a random guy on internet will find you somehow and give you free money?
Same as the Nigerian prince... My cousins won a couple of millions from a lottery he never participated in, then those guys called him from Canada that they  need a his bank accont to transfer the prize but they needed some small amount to open a account. He just said, use the money from the reward to open it.. and guess what, they never called again.

~snip~

Why do you even bother if I already said he was blocked and everything was settled in? I'm also going to tell you something dude... Have some goddamn respect. Tell me, did I mention in my post I'm going to fall for this scam? I used my brain and posted here because I am not experienced with it, but atleast I posted here because I think and I don't just go for everything. This is what acctually saved me.

And then you come here insulting me because I share a profile, to maybe even educate others? This post is going to end up in Google for future people and it will help them to not fall for the scams. Should we go to 2nd grade together? I will go for maths and you will go to learn how to behave. Everyone else was helpfull and they explained everything nicely, your insults weren't necessary.

Thanks for the calculations though Tongue

You asked for opinions and I gave you mine.  If you can't handle that don't ask. Read your post again and you will see you were actually entertaining the idea...
"At first this seemed like a good offer but I don't know"
now you acting like you doing this to help other people.
Sorry but if you fall for this you deserve it for being greedy and stupid.

If posting here is what saved you then I don't even know what to do, the maths was a pleasure since you very clearly have little to no understanding of the basics. Anyone who even thinks of "investing" with something like that should not be handling money ever. I am not surprised scammers scam it must be so easy for them. If people stopped feeding them they would go away.

For future knowledge. You get 10% a YEAR!!! YEAR!!! not day or month. Anything over 22% a year you need to be suspicious of. Loans you can make 22% a year with. Good investments (I have one in fiat) I get a little less the 1% a month but after a year with compounding its basically 12% so 1% a month.

Proper investments don't actually promise you anything the investment I get 1% a month for is just an average and it is not promised. If someone says you get "x%" per whatever time it is then stay away. Unless they making a historical guess. Also proper investments do not pm you like that. Only scammers do that. Unless it is someone working on a referral system then it might be ok just follow your gut.

Like I said it takes 9months to break even at the very best of conditions. Realistically you looking at 11-12 months and then you only start making a profit until it basically costs more to for electricity then what you mine. Although you can use your miner as a heater then. You also need to maintain miners. They can break or stop working. If you could get 10% a day everyone would be rich.

Could you not do this Huh 1 month = 3x and 2 months = 9x and realize that 9x your money back in 2 months means there is something wrong? But yes at least you posted here.

And while we at it.... Now please listen... Do not fall for any site that says "get x%" every whatever amount of time. Those are called HYIP(high yield investment) programs. You can profit from them but it is like gambling.
You might be paid out for a little while but if you stay you will lose everything. It is a pyramid so some people end up getting other people stolen money.

If you looking to invest you should rather invest in masternodes or even POS coins. Yes many people will tell you they shitcoins and blah blah blah blah. Don't listen to those people.
A masternode means you control the privatekey and thus your money. Unlike "cloud mining" where you deposit the bitcoins into another persons wallet where they hold the privatekey.
Pos coins is similiar to masternodes but less complex as there is not setup other than the initial syncing which is automatic anyway.
The pos coins often offer crazy interest but its ok you need to make sure the amount of coins growings total value is increasing. So you may be getting 1% per day of coins but those coins could be dropping in value by 2% thus you lose 1% per day. So you need to keep an eye on the investment. If you lose some money don't give up this is how it works. If you could just invest in anything and always win then it would not work because some must lose for others to win.

If you even considering investing then you truelly are a fool. Can you do arithmetic? Is your IQ at least 100? You can use google? You can think?
I cannot believe people fall for this when good money could be invested on legit projects.

Let us use our brain over here and take 5 minutes yes just 5 minutes to do reseach.

Ok btc mining.

$2600 for a 56TH miner. We will completely ignore the cost of electricity and make it free. We will also ignore shipping costs.

56TH = $300/month at currency difficulty.

If the difficulty remains the same. Which it won't then $2600/300= 9 months +- then you break even and then you make $300 per month for a few months untill the miner becomes almost useless.

Now let us totally ignore anything about bitcoin mining and just use our brain

10%/day = 300% a month.

So if we invest $2600 as well we get $7800 a month and if you believe that you really are fucking stupid.
If you do this for 9 months you will have

month 1 $7800
month 2 $23400
month 3 $70200
month 4 $210600
month 5 $631800
month 6 $1895400
month 7 $586200
month 8 $17058600
month 9 $51175800

So apparent in 9 months $2600 will make you 51 million. ANd you actually entertaining this idea.  Roll Eyes Go back to grade 2 dude. Learn basic maths.

Rather just give me your coins then lose them to a scammer. Honestly, people who fall for this I have a hard time calling them a victim and I have a hard time calling the person asking you for your money a scammer because it is just so stupid. He asked you for money and you thinking of handing it over. Hilerious.   Grin Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Please share that scammer's profile links and some proof of chat history, so that other user could report him. Thanks God that you save yourself and share with this community. And obviously this would be lesson also for other users.

Great news! The profile has been blocked Cheesy The sad thing is he probably is going to open a new account and do it again... However, we just stopped a scammer, he had loads of people that he could potentially scam, she was following everyone I know. This way we make them lose time and we are saving people's money ThumbsUp!

Clear SCAM, don't send any bitcoin to that scammer. This is a very old method to scam newbie.

The method is maybe old, but such scams still have a high percentage of realization because new people entering in crypto every day. Some of them do not distinguish the real from the unreal at all, same as OP who is asking about 10% daily profit. If you just think about something like that, it is very clear that this is impossible with traditional investing, but some apparently living in a world of fairy tales where everything is possible.

The way we fight things like this today is completely inefficient, we save 1 person and 9 very likely fall into the trap. The only efficient solution would be to introduce a mandatory course into elementary schools, where kids would get useful information on how the world of finance works and that the internet is full of such scams. Also, every social media should force new user to read which are all risks of using social networks, such platforms have become perfect for criminals who hunt their victims, completely free and without any special permission.

Clear SCAM, don't send any bitcoin to that scammer. This is a very old method to scam newbie. There is no such as machine that could provide you 10% daily profit. You will never find that person after sent fund because I am 100% sure he will block you somehow. Please don't try to find any quick rich method, there is nothing like that. So don't be greedy for money, try to earn by legal way even that is small amount and you will happy eventually.

Please share that scammer's profile links and some proof of chat history, so that other user could report him. Thanks God that you save yourself and share with this community. And obviously this would be lesson also for other users.

Scam. You don't need to read anything else than title to know that Cheesy.
If someone would be able to deliver  10% ROI every day they would take loans everywhere possible, earn 10% daily, pay them back in 10 days and take profit themselfs.

That is a scam. First of all there is no such thing as a fixed return on a very volatile market even portfolio manager in markets that are stable cannot give a fixed return on fixed period for their client. Don't be fooled by this kinds of scams you will just lose all your money, the mode on where they have contacted you is another red flag since they have approached you through Telegram where known scammers hangs out. Its good that you have second thoughts on putting money to them and you have posted your concern here,  at least you know scams happen now on every platform.

do you even have to ask? Cheesy

think about these numbers a little bit and you will get your answer. if someone was capable of generating such a huge profit to give YOU 10% of it then why would then even need YOUR money?
they could easily start with a small amount and turn it into millions in a short time. for example start from $1000 of his own and earn 10% on it HIMSELF and turn it into $17500 in one month. such person would NEVER need YOUR investment.

which means he can't make shit, so he needs to fool others to hand him over their money to rob them.

<...>Personally, I will report it.
Do so.

Often you can reverse image the profile photograph and see where else if is being used. In cases such as this, it is frequent to be able to locate the image tied to some other name and account on social media, meaning that the former would be a fake profile. I’ve tried about five different sites with no luck. In Instagram, you can additionally audit followers, but the available tools do not work on private accounts such as is the case.

Regardless, just looking at the terms of the offer it is pretty clear that it is a scam aimed at those gullible enough to go through with it.
