you need atleast 1 million BTC to become millionaire by 2020

According to some people research Bitcoin price will reach high by the end of the year 2020.
some people think
Having 10 bitcoins, means you are waiting for a 100 000 dollar value which I dont think it will happen any time soon.

absurd ,nobody will need a million btc to be rich by 2020

100 btc is the best target, given a probably value of 10k per coin, you will be rich for sure

surely the best proportion, between the amount and the future price

i would prefer 1000 btc ,just to be on the safe side Cheesy

Everything can happen in any chance, soon or later
The matter is how much we put trust on bitcoin because it can significantly increase it's price
But if something terrible happen , bitcoin will lose value forever

you never know the market, but you can choose to believe the btc in long term.

Amen to that.
It's easier to survive the ups and downs in price if you really believe in the technology, and see the eventual gains as an added bonus.

Holding has proven solid over the long term, but I also think that it would be a likewise greedy to hold everything and not use a certain portion (even small 5-20%) in sell plans on the way up during bubbles.  If it goes up and stays up, then you're still at a great point, but if it goes up and then comes down, now you have actual realized gains and additional fiat to recoup your BTC and then-some if you like.

A few key trades between now and 2020 could make a huge difference along the way.
I agree, that if one plans precisely just a few trades (for the long-term trend changes), the gains can be much more juicy than just from buying and holding. Who knows if starting with 100BTC now, one could eventually arrive at $1Million by 2020, even if the price stays below $1000.

I think 100 BTC could very well be enough to be a millionaire by that time. Maybe you should try to ride the bigger waves (don't lose everything day-trading on leverage!) but 2020 seems to be a possible timeframe.

For the OP, holding would be the best strategy.
No point in being greedy and losing money by trying to predict short term trends.

But the point is Where to hold these coin? In bter.com or Mt.Gox who scammed people. And they never returened  the btc to them.
Yes holdibg is good. But holding at some places is wrong

hold your own damn coins ,dont ever  leave them in a place like gox

to the op,if you have your heart set on a million by 2020 i would acquire another 50- 100 btc at the current 2xx prices

I only consider someone a true hodler if he's main address is in cold storage.

It is possible that other crypto will grow big but Bitcoin is likely to be the best and more used crypto  in both 5 and 10 years of time.

even if the price gets to $5k only, the OP will be more than happy. There are possible inflection points on the road map that may help in getting closer to that goal:
next halving in the end of July, one more in 2020 itself, Gemini, ETF. So the list is long. If one of this events ignites the next bubble, we may get there.
The problem is, whether the OP will be holding these coins by then.

I think 10000$ is possible in 2020. I think bitcoin will be replaced by some better system for payments, but will stay a valuable asset ... the digital gold Smiley

It will never be $10000 in 2020 it will never be that ever especially if it is replaced by a 'better' system.

The most we have gone to is $1000 and that was because of a massive pump nothing else, be happy if we get back to $500 imo
What you fail to realize is that there is no better system.
The big leap was the blockchain, everything else are small things that can be implemented within Bitcoin itself.

What you fail to realize is there will be a better system and probably already is, you have not gave anything to show me why it will go above the last 'pump' that is all it was buddy a 'pump'  Grin Grin not great tech not the future of the monetary supply just a plain old PUMP where has this mighty tech gone since then?  Just take a look at the graphs...

Dudes, there is no better system lets roll out Bitcoin first ok!

That is my point, too. Bitcoin can be replaced, by some other "improved coin", the same way Internet Explorer or Netscape were replaced. Back at the time, when these browsers were dominant, people were also thinking of them as something for their lifetime. And look where we are now.
You might be right but you are being selective. Amazon hasn't been replaced, eBay, priceline, and many other dot coms from the early internet haven't either. We can't assume all first ideas are failures..
No, I don't want to assume that. And I would love Bitcoin to stay around for generations. But what I wanted to point is that even some very good ideas that seem non-replaceable at the given point of time, may be seen differently in five, or ten years.
