I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Surprisingly, I also got some of the tokens in my wallet in a small quantity, but it seems they are listed in the exchange. I'm not sure how or why i got it but it can be from any possible airdrop but the value is not significant, which is why i didn't care that much. Also no matter what the value is, if i am not aware of any airdrop campaign i participated, i won't try to sell off that token in any dex as well. Who knows what type of new scamming methods have been used by scammers these days.
I also experienced something like this. I participated in airdrop campaigns several times and a lot of coins entered my wallet and these coins were not from the airdrop that I participated in. It does seem as if the coin is genuine but I always avoid selling it. because it's clearly a scam. There are many cases of fraud like that, the fraudsters seem to deliberately send the coins to all airdrop participants and then when we sell using a wallet connection, all our assets will also be lost.

Fraud like this often occurs among airdrop hunters, and many people always become victims because airdrop fraud is getting more sophisticated so that victims cannot differentiate between what is true and what is fake. Because it must be admitted that there are also many Airdrops that are very profitable.
Receiving a coin you have never heard about in your wallet should raise an alert on your mind, since it is clear a group of scammers is watching and monitoring every single one of the moves of your coins, and if you give them an opportunity you can be sure they are going to use it to their advantage and steal everything you have worked so hard to obtain over the years, unfortunately many newbies make the mistake of thinking about such events as fortunate, and when trying to interact with those coins they lose the rest of the assets they had on that wallet.

With Bull season such scams are common as everyone wants a piece of the pie. Only very few airdrops are legit and those which are legit will need the user to do some activities. Airdrops are not free anymore as a user needs to invest both money and time to be part of it. There was a time when they used to be free but users were asked to do a few task for getting a $5 airdrop and sometime less than that amount.

For the very reason that I've thought about how possible it could be for a project firm to just keep giving such attractive amounts of money for a giveaway when the participants never worked for it, I've much as that been in doubt that there's nothing like free money just as earlier said.
Although there had been existed and still existing reputable projects giving out genuine rewards. It's just quite unfortunate that lot of fraudulent projects are admist of them.
Just as the Op, has sanctioned, it's better you don't chase free money out of greeds and looses your hard earned money on the process. Carefulness is always the key to refrain from scamming victim.

Constantly such scam Airdrops come around us and many of us fall into the trap of these fraudsters and end up getting wallet compromised. We must always be aware of these Scam Airdrops and must check thoroughly before joining. In no way should the security system of the wallet be hacked.

To be honest any Airdrop is basically a scam. People want to try win big and so they will accumulate as many free tokens as they can in the hopes that one of them will 1000x by chance. Majority of these airdrops are actually just malicious JavaScript which crypto drain your wallets using obfuscated code. Do not connect your metamask or any other browser based wallet to claim am airdrop..

I beg to disagree. Some airdrops are legitimate projects while others are not simple as that.

I have known many people who have profited from airdrops. Yes it is rare for projects to get high value but it is true that it does sometimes and maybe this is the reason why a lot of people fall victim to it. They get too excited with the prospect of free tokens that could potentially make you rich in the future.

In this altcoin market things are not easy for the bounty hunters, they spend many months publicizing the projects, after many months publicizing the projects when it comes time for the project owners to pay, they keep going around, telling stories like: no We can pay now because we are afraid that all the bounty hunters will sell and the token will drop a lot in price. It's funny that the project owners are the first to sell when they realize that the price has risen a lot and has a high risk of falling a lot and when they decide to pay the bounty hunters, the price of the token is no longer worth anything, so in my opinion this is a form of scam. By this I mean that even at the end of the day these new altcoins end up being scams for bounty hunters

Thank you for sharing this vital information for everyone. I am part of the people who participated in this airdrop and i most say it is indeed a scam project that so many persons has become a victim. I was lucky enough to know have tried to exchange it on my trust wallet. Immediately i saw the red flag i quickly deleted it from my wallet.

Am not surprised that some persons still see the need to.come up with scam.project to steal from the innocent. It wont stop soon but we should take all the necessary security measures to not fall victim.

it seems that every 4 years things always tend to get worse, probably these scammers are waiting when the time for bitcoin halving arrives because they know that many people will be attracted by big quick profits, so these scammers keep creating scam projects, unfortunately x and telegram don't have Nothing has been done to prevent at least the number of people who fall for these types of scams from being very low. That's why the solution is for people to be careful and not participate in scam projects. In a few months we will see a lot of weird altcoins being created

It is for those who believe in airdrop would fall for it and not people like me there was a time a friend of mine was trying to influence or lure me to join this nonsense airdrop participation and he promised.me to give me update and all that but I refused to join and he join one of them and unknown to him that is is a scammer behind the project. At first they told him to deposit money to move the coins from the airdrop Wallet to Trustwallet and he did because of the high reflection of the dollar and when the money reflects on the Trustwallet wallet they asked him to deposit more again to withdraw the money and he did and since then has been struggling to withdraw the money Trustwallet but no way.

Those who are greedy are the people fall for this kind of trap because they want to cash out big.

For me I know that we have different scam platforms sub project a coin that is not relevant so for some people to skip or escape from each you have to make a proper research to understand the kind of coin that you want to invest on because I know quite well that's what leads some people into a scam project is when the fail make a proper investigation towards that particular project. You have different scammers and those scammers have different agent that operate with them so whatever thing that you are doing you will need to be extremely careful and also making injury for your project that I want to venture into

If I could choose under which paradigm newbies took their decisions on this market, one in which they pursued every single airdrop they heard anything about, and one in which they considered every single airdrop to be a scam and stay away from it, you can bet that I would pick the second option without any hesitation, there are a few legitimate airdrops out there, but their numbers are very small compared to the number of scams, so it is way better for newbies to simply assume they are all scams and save themselves from being scammed this way.

You own the pen
Yeah.. I friend showed me This IRON coin which has no liquidity on DEX but shows value in his trust wallet. I think the dev also make it tradeable with only hog slippage. So, it's totally a way to steal money from dumb asses.

They always create confusion such as this one that's why you don't just blindly follow the hype on the internet or you find yourself becoming a victim of this kind of scam. they often create such bait to lure their victims. They always make it seem real but if you don't rush quickly and analyze it well, you can spot the differences between the real thing compared to this one. You can just simply ignore it but for the other newbies, they don't look different and that's why lots of their victims are newbies that haven't acquired enough knowledge before investing or joining some airdrops.

There is an option in Telegram to not receive unwanted invites. Once enabled, that solves the problems of these spams and scams happening inside the app. Getting a random crypto is already questionable but how much more if it already shown with a high value? Usually they are a clone of the original crypto but they are only deployed on another network.

You already said what can happen to us once we attempted trading them. Even without video, there's a good chance that a newbie will believe on it instantly. They are the main target of this modus. Informative posts like this are great to give them awareness which saves their selves from falling on it. There is such thing as free money OP but they don't usually work like this and then their amounts are mostly minimal.

There are countless scam airdrops on X (formerly Twitter) and Telegram and the reason behind that is that people are crazy about participating in airdrops these days because some of the airdrops provide good returns to the eligible participants, and now no one wants to miss any project that can potentially have an airdrop because they think even if they have to spend some money, they will get more money than they will need to spend.

This trend has made it easier for scammers to scam a lot of newbies, and since Elon Musk has provided everyone the privilege to buy a blue tick, newbies tend to think the accounts scammers are using are genuine when in reality, they are fake accounts with bought blue ticks only to make people have more trust on them.

This discussion should be in the scam section to warn people of this scheme, airdrop has become a tool of scammers because so many newbies still believe that it's still worth claiming these airdrops, especially OP mentioned that the token already shows its value or price on Trustwallet or other wallets that you can connect.
and when you connect it you will get scammed through the fee that you will pay to claim the airdrop.

Scammers are very innovative nowadays, on one glance you will see that its legit but when you complete the task that's when you realize that you've been scammed.

In fact I'm also skeptical of anything that promises free rewards so avoid these airdrops in particular. Most of the new members get involved in these scam traps because of poor knowledge. Very soon i got myra token which has a large amount of money if you look at the balance but this token has no exchange volume at all. They have now muted their telegram chat and are promoting new projects. They are trying to get investment again related to a new project i can understand that they will scam very soon.

There’s no such thing as free rewards. You will need to do certain task in able to earn a legit airdrop so you’re right about avoiding anything that promises payout without doing anything.

There’s a lot of scam token like this on BSC which scammer targets wallet address that contains BNB tokens and send this scam tokens that usually have a smart contract settings that charge high transaction fee while you can’t trade the token even after paying the fee.

Simply to be safe, don’t claim any tokens that send to you without doing anything because that is 100% scam.

Ibhave seen the same airdrop team creating other useless tokens just to attract investors to invest their money.
It is very important we make good observations and observations the market very closely so that we could benefit from good airdrop.
Not all bad airdrops are bad but we can see that many scammers are now creating their own airdrops just to make people invest their money and the next thing the tokens will crash and disappear.

Hahaha  Cheesy Can't wait to tell my freind how much of a time waste he has put in just to get enough referral, he went in like his life depends on it, fucking free money, it's very difficult to get a real Airdrop that pays now. We just need to be careful and avoid unnecessary wallet linking to any site or totally abstain from them, as I see no benefits from indulging in them.
A lot of scam projects will ask you to get referrals to increase so they'll increase their victims, this is why I'm very skeptical about referrals, even when they're shared by trusted people, because in most cases they don't even know that they're ignorantly sharing a scam. I'm also skeptical about anything that promises free rewards, because there's no free money anywhere, reason being that the person sharing must have family, friends and dependants who needs money.

I thank the OP for sharing and enlightening us about this project, scammers can come through legit means to gain the trust of their victims, after which they'll unfold their fraudulent intentions. We must always verify the authenticity of any link before clicking, so we're not directed to phishing sites and be scammed.
