I would also think the creators of steemit should be on this list since they created their own website built on the cryptocurrency of steem. Ned Scott and Dan Larimer.

His description seem not correct. It should have been "the famous shill" not John McAfee - famous crypto seer.
I come across a post in the forum where he is hunted by authorities because he causes the loss of people during the altcoin bulllrun. Doesn't come as a surprise to you, I cna name some of the coin he promoted but drastically dragged below the expected price almost down to zero.

Probably, this list has been updated already? I guess some of the people we have never heard about are on this list already, and they take the top positions. More than 12% of Americans own BTC, and the most powerful of them stay incognito.
I am sure this post deserves some updates as we are now in June 2019 and so many things had happened and many new personalities have surfaced into the cryptocurrency scenes and they also are deserving to be included into the list. I am actually thinking of putting up my own list but since there is already here maybe I will just go over them and see if they are still active.

I am amazed to the effort you have shown in order for us ti know who are the people behind the blockchain. I am also not familiar with them and I am interested to in depth my learning about them specially, the founder of Ethereum.
This is an impressive list, although I'd change the order. I don't think a "famous investor" or "crypto expert" should rank higher than someone who has actually created a blockchain or cryptocurrency based company. Charlie Lee should be 3rd. Where's Satoshi? He should be 2nd. I agree with Vitalik at the top spot, he's built a very successful business using the blockchain as the backend and frontend technology.

I agree with you. It is an impressive list. The people in that list can motivate us in crypto world. They are success in doing this and they already prove it. We should follow their step. I think the list already based on the survey. The name came up with so many reasons.

It is a strange list, I am surprised to see McAffee above Winklevoss twins, I am really surprised with number 1 person, and I am outraged with not seeing Satoshi Nakamoto on the list.

Good list, actually I also see vitalik buterin as the most powerful person in crypto, he is also the person who is contributing this space the most, brian armstrong my second one who is creator of coinbase.

The data comes from Klout.com the OP didn't "collected" the list himself. Klout score is based on several factors if you have a website, the social signal sent etc. So if you have a large follower base and active with an account related to Food, if you start posting about Blockchain you will be on the list as well
