I am not a fan of the ads, but I understand your decision to put them up. Any chance you can deliver them over SSL though? ever since the ads, I keep getting issues asking to display non secure items, blah, blah.

Seems something is bit wacko with the "hide worker" feature.

All it seems to do is move the workers down on the active workers page, it doesnt actually hide them.

Is a Nvidia card profitable anymore? I mean doesnt it cost more the electricity it consumes than the bitcoins it produces?

I have a few nvidia cards running.  Producing ~300MHash/sec combined.  To me, I just view it as a slow/non-overclocked ATI.   Cheesy

I also have a bunch of CPU miners running as well.  Total combined maybe 200MHash/sec total.  Not worth much but any little bit helps I guess.  Luckily utils are free for me.  It's actually TOO COLD at my place.  Central Air + 2 portable AC units is making things actually too cold now.

If I was paying for electric, I probably wouldn't bother with the nvidia/cpus.  Them + the extra cooling probably wouldn't be worth it.

The cumulative total hash rate of many slow workers is not the same as the hash rate of a single worker [i.e. a slow/non-overclocked ATI Smiley].  The slower the individual worker, the more stale work it loses [either by submitting it and having it rejected, or dumping it when receiving a long polling message].

Consider this short block (5 to 23 seconds in length and probably around 10 seconds ... how many shares did your combined submit?  At your rate, chances are very high that it was none, but with a very small chance of one and with the CPUs, probably an almost certainty that NONE of them submitted a valid share].

BTW .. that rejected block is still why I am not fond of Phoenix .. it does far to many of these compared to poclbm for instance.

As far as not paying for electricity; I assume you are either young and your parents are actually paying for it or you are using hardware/electricity from somebody else [school, employer, church, etc] and in which point, I hope you have made it 100% clear to them that you are doing this or it is stealing and can be treated as such [employers tend to just fire you, but other organizations ... up to them].

@eleuthria what about closing registration? after they ran ok on nl2 for the past days several of my miners were idling again just now and had to be manually restarted. stale rate has also gone up. It looks to me like the pools are at their limit, it will become worse and worse as the pool goes beyond 3 THash/s

Take a look at the first link in my sig if you want to do something about idle miners.

Radix-The Decentralized Finance Protocol
eleuthria, is there any chance we will get at least the option of having the workers arrange how they were when they were created?

I agree after paying close attention to the stats page for a few minutes.  Most of my GPUs will send a share in less than a minute, but I do have a nVidia running about 45Mh/s that takes 1-2 mins to send a share.  Maybe make it user select able. Maybe have it start a really dim yellow at 1 mins and move upto a bright yellow at 2 mins.  I don't know how easy something like this would be to program into the site, but something along these lines would be very helpful!

I think one minute is too short.  Sometimes it can take that long to solve a share with a decent GPU and a lot longer for slower hardware.

Another Feature Request...

On the Worker Summary, do some sort of Conditional Formatting (a la MS Excel) to the Last Share timer.  Anything btw 1min-5min have the cell be yellow. anything greater than 5 min be red (i don't think there is a need for green if under 1 min.

Right now I refresh the page and have to read down through to see if it says seconds minutes or hours. would be nice to take a quick glance to see if anything is yellow or red.

Also, probably best implemented in Javascript to keep it off of the server entirely (I don't think I have to tell Eleuthria that though Smiley ).

[Another edit] I think it would be better to make it a function of the amount of time set by the user already.

Here is a funny issue... I have multiple machines connected to BTCG... I am using US Central for all of them but can't get one to connect to it... when I ping uscentral.btcguild.com from win7 cmd, it returns General failure 4 times.  I have never seen General Failure. If i ping any of the other servers they come back fine. I am sure this isn't a BTCG issue, but curious if anyone has ever had something like this and or how to fix it.
Do you use peer(guardian|block) or similar?

So the US Central server's IP was blocked by PeerBlock because it was listed in an Anti-P2P block list. So, if anyone is having trouble connecting to US Central and you use Peer Guardian or similar, whitelist the IP and you will be in good shape.

You bet!  Never would have guessed it was that. wonder why it is choosing to block that ip and not the others??

Anyone see how hard we have been killing it the last 45 mins??

7 BLOCKS in 45 mins

back (133108) to back (133109) to back (133110) to back(133111) to back (133112) and then a couple blocks later another back (133115) to back (133116).

Crazy good luck, "Luck in past 24 hours       975621 shares   (+41.4%) " lol

It pulls them on an alphabetical sort on the My Account page.  Adding the sort to My Workers page now.

I figured out what was going on. I had 1 machine go down the other day so I hid the workers. Just got it fixed and they were still hidden but submitting shares. The workers were out of alpha order and sitting at the bottom of the list, prob because they were hidden but submitting. Once I unhid them they popped up into correct order.

3 updates so far this morning:
1) Account workers alphabetized.

Just did some renaming and they didn't alphabetize themselves... was your alphabetizing a one time deal or should renames and new workers put themselves in the correct order?
