If intense buying is happening where it results in the price going up higher and higher, it will be inevitable that at some point a severe correction will take the price back down again. It's Bitcoin that we are talking about after all... Just look at the dump that took the price down with ~$110 in one go. That was a serious bit of profit taking. Advantage is that the person(s) that were responsible for this dump have cashed out profits, and thus they don't form an obstable anymore.

Being realistic here, $10,000 is not happening anytime soon even the $1000 barrier took a long time to break just imagine how much time a 10k barrier would take, that is when we reach near it.

What you mean "can't do anything"? Buy and HODL, anyone can do that. Once more people realize that they can actually hold their wealth in bitcoin and have it independent from any government and safe from inflation, it will start growing wildly. Five digits, if it becomes a small addon to gold / real estate. Six digits if (when!) it becomes the primary way of wealth storage.

On a more serious note, I fairly confident that we'll reach $2000 before year ends.

IMO $10,000 is also possible, but maybe around 2020. Minimal chance it's gonna happen within the year.

if is a kind of joke as of now, because AFAIK most of the speculators are not yet looking up of bitcoin in $10000, unless there's a sudden skyrocket of bitcoin price.

LOL. Yes it's better to have it rise slowly, else we will be back to 2014 where the prices crashed.
Give it time and we finally see an acceptable price for bitcoin to use and get more traction.

I'm curious as to other peoples thoughts on the price rises... We've seen this back in the Gox days and before exponential rises. When I first came into BTC people where raving about hitting dollar parity then $5, $30, $50 with a rise to the Gox levels before THE crash. The prices ATM are crazy and FOMO is bound to kick in when the news gets into this tomorrow but money wont make it to a lot of exchanges until Monday. I'm wondering if the weekends are just weeding out the weak hands or profit takers.
