IMHO You can't go wrong holding BTC and ETH. I'd do something like 80% BTC & 20% ETH if I was in a hodl position...

This isn't investment advice, but if I had $10,000, this is how I would invest it:

1. Bitcoin - 60%
2. ETH - 10%
3. ADA - 10%
4. MIOTA - 10%
5. EOS -  10%

maybe you can invest in a top coinmarketcap like a bitcoin, ethereum, neo or litecoin is my list, or maybe you can take masternode or POS, you can see it at https://masternodes.online/, coin which I think is good for masternode or POS is safeinsurance, Phore or Golden Fever or you can also follow the IEO available at https://icodrops.com/category/upcoming-ico/

Ethereum,  litecoin and ripple that three coins is best to make your money grow after few years but having bitcoin still is good because you will earn more money. My suggestion is just start acquiring trading knowledge at first. Trading knowledge will give you some ideas about when to buy and when to sell. It will prevent you from suffering losses. Speculations always take place in the market of cryptocurrency. Therefore crypto knowledge is essential for anyone wanting to involve in cryptocurrency. Ripple, binance coin, are some of good investment.

At the moment, you can not wrestle with where to invest this amount.  Personally, I would choose either Bitcoin or bnb.  By investing in bnb you can get lucky to get into a good project and make a good profit.

If I had that capital right now, I would undoubtedly invest it in Forex, because for many years, when bitcoin was not even born, it was the most profitable way to obtain high returns on the internet, and $10k is the best amount to start properly.

But do you not have much knowledge of trading? In Forex that does not matter too much, because most serious and prestigious brokers offer tools of "copy-trading", social trading, or PAMM accounts, where trading experts are those who do all the work, and you only rewards them with a small percentage of your benefits.

In addition, there are brokers where you do not need to exchange your bitcoins for dollars, but everything is handled through bitcoin.

Now, it is time for investors to wait and take profits when bitcoin surpass $6000 or $6200. Then, they should use those fiat from their sold bitcoins to find top altcoins which drops deeply and buy them all. Fortunately, investors can find such deeply dropped top altcoins very easily. Why not invest in top altcoins after taking profits with bitcoins?

How about participating in some big pool? You can mine cryptocurrency using POS or masternod. Now this method gives a fairly good profit, while minimizing the risks. Study these topics in more detail.

First of all, I would say: it is definitely not an investment advice.
In my opinion, the biggest opportunity to invest is NEO and ETHEREUM. You can also review ARAW.

To be honest, some time ago I thought that you and I would have the opportunity to find such projects among altcoins, but so far there is no such possibility and many altcoins did not cost more, although they should have cost more.

I think there are really a lot of new projects every month, before 2017, there were 1 or 2 per month or even less...

10,000$ - Where to invest?
Btc 60%+Eth 20%+Bnb 20% and some Iotex.

it's better to just hold on bitcoin because it's also profitable. You don't need to be confused to invest where bitcoin is also very profitable. there is no other coin as good as bitcoin when the bull run starts.
you are right, but the benefits of investing in bitcoin will be very little if you don't invest in large capital. bitcoin will experience the earliest increase, and is followed by altcoin, but we cannot invest if we only have small capital.

If you are already holding 10k worth of btc i will suggest you to either keep holding it as btc is gearing up for massive bulls in coming months but ideally you can diversify a little like keep 5k in btc, 3k in eth and remaining 2k divide in 3 to 4 more coins like neo, ada, eos and icx.

I would say; why don’t you do the unusual ?
Go for tokens such as stellar, litecoin, Neo and waves;

If you have noticed coinmarketcap; you would realize that XIN has been increasing as well as reducing too
You can keep an eye on it.

Importantly; you need to ignore projects with so much hypes recently unless you can trade it daily
All hypes will end up in lows

I'm going to assume that you want to stay in the cryptoworld and don't want to try investing in real state or stocks (since this thread is in the Altcoin board). If so, then my answer is simple: Diversify. Remember the famous quote: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". Create a portfolio and invest in some altcoins.

Make some proper research about the coins you would like to invest in, as well as how big the allocation in your portfolio in said altcoins will be. If you go for this, I do recommend you to keep a bigger stash in BTC, something like 60% BTC and the rest in some altcoins. You'll take advantage of both market once the next bull market arrives: Bitcoin increasing in value, as well as altcoins getting pumped, increasing their value in satoshis so that you can cash out some decent profits in BTC.

I'm going to make this thread self-moderated because I know how spammy the threads with my kind of question could get.

I currently have about 10,000$ in holdings (BTC). I was wondering If someone could suggest what I could do to make them grow?

Take into consideration that I'm not interested in any type of interest based investment (MLM, Ponzi schemes, etc.) and I'm also not experienced with trading.

If you don't have any insider information just stay with BTC and keep them safe.

ETH used to be below $9 but only some lucky people and insiders were able to buy from that price. At that time, there were tons of other altcoins around, just like now. Who would knew? (I admit some smart people without insider information really knew)

Here is a quick guide:

Are you smart? (by "smart" I mean if you can do researches on alts and identify a good project. Many people think they can yet they fail anyway.)
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC

Are you lucky?
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC

Do you have insider information?
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC
