I forgot about this thread. Wonder what Matt is doing now? He must have a lot of free time since he doesn't post here anymore.

I conducted my first ever Skype call with him during the Atlanta conference on some other Bitcoiner's phone.

He bet me that I couldn't keep his location a secret, and thus far he's winning the bet.  Grin

Last I heard he was tired of Korea and moving to the UK somewhere. If you talk to him again say hi for me.

So matt is Phelix?

Well, that's his loss.

If I was the 100.000th user I never give up my account.
The millionth user is more likely not to be an active one. We have a lot of accounts with 0 posts as well.

So much for the chosen one and knowing us we will remember that we are nearing a million users and make an active account for it XD
Or sell it for the one who got the 1 millionth
(Assuming we are not on that new forum by then)
And can reset the user count to actual lol.

I've noticed there's been a lot of new spam-bot accounts lately. And a lot of people that come here for the alternate crypto section.

315,831 bitcointalk users now Smiley

Somewhere I saw a chart showing the BitcoinTalk growth over time, anyone know where that chart is?

You may find it here http://www.bitcoinpulse.com/

EDIT : http://www.bitcoinpulse.com/chart/bitcointalk/num_members/total

Thank you for linking. The site has some really interesting charts.

If I had to guess I think at least half of the bitcointalk-accounts are secondary accounts of the same users. But growth is still impressive.

ya.ya.yo!

Congratulation of having that great responsibility "having 100,000 ranks to advance from Tongue "! Maybe this forum should have done like blockchain giving the xxxxx member few BTC's lol.

Edit: eeh an old thread? at least i ain't the one who bumped it.

Whether or not I'm funny is subjective and highly debatable, what is for certain is that humor is wasted on this community. Once you realize that, distinguishing between being a shithead for laughs and being a shithead for lack of anything better to do becomes increasingly difficult.

For the record, I've always had something better to do. When I'm not posting something funny, it's because I'm busy doing it.

Oh, your funny when you want to be, no doubt.  It's too bad that humor is wasted here now but your right I see it too. I don't expect this collection of computer geeks to be a running episode of Big Bang Theory but they could learn to pull the stick out once in a while. Everyone seems too serious now and I'm not the only one that sees it: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1989050

It's good that you're more focused now and working hard. Good luck to you. Your still young and need to be to get ahead. I, on the other hand, can be a complete butthead because I'm old and have gone as far in the business world as I'm ever likely to go.  Wink
