is Anyone on Bitointalk who is in possession of 1000BTC funded Casascius Coin ?

I would be interested in buying 1

I wish I had one to sell you! If you don't mind me asking... Why would you or anyone want one so bad that they would spend a small fortune?

Hey hayabusa,

I have been an early adopter of bitcoin and i recently started collecting bitcoin collectibles, The 1000btc funded coin would be the must have for me.

If the premium was reasonable it would sell easily. Obviously a deal like this would be worth a flight and a face 2 face meeting.

I cant quite believe there are people looking to spend $250k+ on a loaded bar its unbelievable money to me more than my house is worth in fact.... Shocked

Well, the type of person who'd probably go for it is likely to be an early adopter who mined or laid out a fraction of current values. It's still an underground icon. Real money all the same, though.

Yes you're probably right or a wealthy person that believes in bitcoin Smiley.

*Apparently* bitmarket.io has one. At least that's what he told me. I asked for pics and he disappeared so I can't say for sure. It won't hurt to ask I guess.

He does not have one lol.

Yep the info you have been given so far is good. Goat or ZT

I seem to recall chainsaw had a redeemed 1k coin or bar

Also bayareacoins had a redeemed 500 bar he was selling

That link posted for the 100 bar is one of the few 100 bars that never got funded. So hologram still in tact. 12 of these in total, split between standard and 2fa. That seller is bitguy101. I did have one of those spare myself, but it's currently reserved. I can let you know if that doesn't work out.

Finally .... Just like those never funded 100 bars .... There is just 1 never funded 1000 bar. And I have it  Smiley not planning on selling, but everyone has a price I suppose. Feel free to make me an offer I couldn't refuse

Hey Monekey,

As i said im particularly interested in funded 1000 coin, I am still interested in a never funded one, but i doubt i could make you an offer that you think would be fair. So im just not going to insult you with my offer Smiley

What do you think is fair range price for funded 1k coin nowadays ?

That's the million dollar question I suppose. I can't remember any high value coins or bars being sold for a long time.

But I do know the rarer they are the higher the premiums are put on so I would hate to think how much one's worth.

Lord knows. I think Goat asked $50,000 for an unfunded one. Traditionally the higher the denomination, the lower the premium but this one would be a very special case. The pool of potential buyers would be rather minute though.

Only 5 coins in existence, if I recall correctly...

Surely the "holy grail" of physical bitcoins. Good luck in your search!

The goat did sell 1 for 1 million dollars (part cash part BTC). The goat also still owns 1 more...not sure who else owns one, but I do know someone who was offered one for an insane price last year.

If I remember rightly Zhou Tong of Bitcoinica infamy said he had one and it would be his last remnant of his time in bitcoinland.

There we go https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/im-leaving-bitcoin-81581

Whether he's worth believing is another matter.

A fantastic thing to own but seriously unwieldy to offload. You might be able to buy a small country with it in the years to come.

I know there's a 100 btc redeemed bar on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291419942852?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D291419942852%26_rdc%3D1

I'm sure the ebay store is operated by someone on here, I just cant remember who I'm afraid.

Good luck with your search anyway Smiley.

Would you believe that 2 of the 5 of these BTC1000 coins have been redeemed?! Craziness. You might need to show up some proof that you have the $250,000 to cover the face value of this one, let alone the premium that one would charge.

Good luck in you hunt, maybe call Southeby's.

He is banned, but if you are serious about buying one I can try to get in touch with a person who might still have one.
