Out of interest I went back and looked at the block history on BitMinter ... and how things have changed ...

The oldest entry is the 3rd July 2011 and took 14 days 3hrs and 10 mins! (When Bitminter started). Difficulty was 1,379,192 and the pool speed registered at 0.0 Thps ... naturally DrHaribo made the block that day.

Three blocks were solved on 4th July 2012 (none on the third) and the pool speed was 0.2 Thps.

3rd July 2013 shows 6 blocks solved and the pool speed was 5.9 Thps and difficulty was 21,335,329.

3rd July 2014 ... 3 years on from the start... (only 12 months later than the last stats) - 'hello! and welcome to ASIC miners' - 1 block solved at a difficulty of 16,818,461,371.

As I write we are on a 1 Day 15 hour block ... and counting ... but there have been a few good days recently ... and the pool is running at 1367 Thps.

What will 3rd July 2015 show? We can't even speculate.

Mines done the same.  I thought it was the fans/fins getting clogged, but blowing that all out did nada. 

Most likely variance. 600 when lucky, 560 when unlucky. Actual hashrate 580 ?

I think he is concerned about the decrease in his hash rate from ~600 GH/s to ~560 GH/s which isn't affected by the pool hash rate.  That change does seem a little large for normal fluctuation but not impossible.  I wouldn't really worry about the "trend" as it is likely just chance.  I don't have any suggestions but would definitely wait a few more shifts to see if the trend continues as it might just be normal fluctuations.

Yep. When the pool hashrate goes up other people are finishing the shifts before you can get the same amount of work in. That's why your work per shift goes down - the shifts are shorter time-wise.

I think it is normal. It is the absolute hashpower of the pool is growing, so your share is going down because its stable. As the time of 1 shift is decreased by the growing hashrate of the pool your relative share is decreasing.
This is nothing to worry about because the growing hashpower of the pool makes it more likely to find a block.
on the other hand increased difficulty with is a result of the growing hashpower of the whole bitcoin community will reduce your share anyway as long as you not add equal groth to your hashpower.

Hi All,

I’ve been mining for about 2 months now and over the past few days I’ve notice my  work steadily decreasing. There was a power outage on the 4th, but other than that nothing else has changed. Does anyone know what’s up with this?

However, I followed DrH's post and I set the dragon diff to 1024 and the worker diff in bitminter to the same..and blamo...speeds are where they should be, the rejects are down to .03-.06. and my score increased by a solid .02% per shift, which is trending the "expected per block" figure up as well.  

Soooo...all is good in the land of the dragon...and the Ants are chugging away flawlessly, as usual.  Can't wait for the new ones to arrive.

I have found that if you set the diff in the miner to anything equal to or lower than the diff size sent from pool they run fine.  If diff from pool is smaller than work size set in miner config, they run very slow.  I set mine to 128 in the miner and this way even if pool starts off at diff 1 it can do them fast enough to get past 128 and will eventually hit 1024.  Best is just set worker for pool to 1024 and 128 or 256 on miner end.  I go with lower (128) since backup pool cant set the min diff.

WOW !!!! sorry about the whiny post. ................... we found a Block !!!!!!

  I'm sorry to say and it's a sad day....I had to under clock 5 antminer S1s. The power  bill and very little income sucks. With BitMinter under 1% of network THPS, we could be in for months of bad luck.    I Have asked other miners to join our pool but all of them need some kind of steady income.

they do 2 different methods do get the next increase    I have found the correct number to be in between their estimates

so  4-5% is a good guess for next jump.
