Hey,

great. So and if i soon want to upgrade to lets say 3 1070s.
Wouldnt it be better to now buy a more powerful PSU?

Like 750W?

If you recommend 600 for 2 and a Cards takes about 150W, a 750 would be ok?
Or what would you say.

Thanks alot.

Hello,

I didnt bought any parts, besides the 1070.
So the Question is, what do i have to replace.

This Bloq shows my cards @ 1155 ~ 4 card mining Rig

Why would u say its not true?

These are the extenders:

Thanks

Apologies, it's too early. Yes those would be fine and would give you 4 cards. Replace the PSU and you should be fine.

Hello,

im very hyped about mining since i startet learning about.
So after i realized, that i got some components alrdy, i bought 2 1070's.

1 x G.Skill DIMM 16 GB DDR3-1333 Quad-Kit
1 x Intel Core i5-4570 Hass
1 x ASROCK H67DE3 B3 MAINBOARD SO.1155
1 x OCZ Agility 3 120GB, 2.5"
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500 GB 8,9 cm
1 x Be quiet BQT L7-540W
1 x 1070 Gainward GTX
1 x MSI 1070 (incoming) GTX (aswell as Adapter for external GPU)

Thats my PC right now. Atm theres only 1 x 1070 running.

So here comes the Question:
Will the 540W PSU be enough for 2 1070? I tried some Calcs, but im not to sure about, since it seems close.
I got some other PSU laying around, with different Power, is it recommended using different PSUs? I heard about it is possible with an Adapter to connect 2 PSU, but im not sure.
If you recommend a new PSU, could u link some on amazon or ebay?

And second:
this mainboard can handle 4 cards, right?

I first wanna check if i get it to work and then maybe upgrade 1-2 more 1070s to it.

Help much appreciated. I love this.

Thanks in advance.

I keep seeing people buy parts without researching the answers to these questions beforehand, WHY?

That being said, you *should* be fine with a 540W PSU, but personally I'd bump it up to a 600W to be safe.

Looking at the motherboard online I can see that it has a PCI-Ex16 port and 3x PCI-Ex1 which means you'll be unlikely to get more than 1 card running very well at a time.
