Last page or so of posts have quite a few of performance posts, including my fairly extensive ZEC via EWBF testing.

It appears a few folks recieved their cards on Nov 2 (not sure if they got them shipped or walked into stores) - mine was shipped from Newegg and arrived Nov 3.

Newegg got them available for pre-order now:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487387

I went ahead and ordered one to test with.  $469 isn't a great price, but if I can coax 550 Sol/s out of it, it would not be too bad.

yupp i snagged two FE's from Nvidia site this morning, 600$ CDN each, thats like the price of a higher end 1070! im in! Cheesy haha
I think they will do what a 1080 will on hash as they have that good 1070 memory Cheesy
Not shipping till Nov 2nd, that hurts, but its only a week Cheesy

*I have removed the "Rumor" from thread title and added Preorders on Now for Nov 2nd

Have you tested that?

I hope you work on Nvidia to affirm that because history shows that supplies are limited on every release.

gtx 1070 ti is just a gtx 1080 with few things disabled and different memory and yes there are plenty of gtx 1080 chips in stock. This is just a stock clearance for volta. All gtx 1080 with bad wields must go hehe.

Not to mention that Volta won't have good supplies until 2019. There's a plenty of time to buy the current gen and still make ROI

Nah, they'll have plenty of supply a month or two after release on each model, possibly even on the release day.

Also nVIDIA has no need to rush the next generation of cards as AMD is a sitting duck right now.

Last time I checked, Volta was estimated to be a half year or so off - and it is NOT likely to provide a huge jump in performance, since it will still be getting build on the same manufacturing node.
I expect 10-30% jump on each model over the corresponding 10xx series model, probably at the same wattage.

Significant, but NOT going to make current cards unprofitable.

if $399 price stands, will be the best gpu card your money can buy to mine anything. Where I live you can't find polaris for less than $320, so nobody is buying them. The best idea right now is wait for volta but that is in few months yet.

Waiting for voltra is a horrible idea,  Your missing out on mining lots of coins while your waiting for voltra release,  Too far into the future, most likely delays and gpu shortages,

More than likely coins will pump up hard after the bitcoin cools down. Look at Zen coin,  monero, decred, etc  all of the legit coins are up in value by 3x+ from their lows.  If your always waiting for the next best hardware you'll be mining the coins with the latest hardware but they will be 10x more expensive and difficult to mine.  Good luck waiting around on the sidelines.  Time is money and that's way more important than waiting for the latest hardware.

Volta in a few month will be economically not profitable - but it will outperform everything...
price for 1070ti will be over 400$

I'll BET it has 2304 CUDA cores or if it gets priced at $449 or $459 MSRP - otherwise it's gonna eat too many 1080 sales.
If it IS in fact priced around $400 (which is the SAME or nearly so as the 1070) it'll have to drop the core count down to 2048 to avoid eating 1070 sales.

Card is about 2 months too late to be a good ETH mining card - RX series AMD have dropped back down too far on price - but it might be a very good ZEC miner for the price.

Where? Availability is definetly up, but so are the prices.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%20601296377%20601296379&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36

Given the pricing LAST MONTH on available "in stock" cards was almost always over $300 and often the LOWEST price card was near $350, having several cards available for under $300 is a definite improvement on pricing.

You also left out the RX 470 and RX 480 from your list, which would have added a few MORE choices in the under $300 range, including the Sapphire "mining" RX 470 I bought yesterday at $259.

Note that I said "dropped back down" not "dropped back to pre-shortage" on pricing.

To compete with those $259 cards, a hypothetical $399 GTX 1070ti would have to manage at least mid-30s Mhash/sec on ETH even if the $259 AMD cards are NOT BIOS modded.
Note that the 1080ti only manages mid-30s on ETH hashrate.
To compete with those $259 AMD cards with their BIOS modded, a hypothetical GTC 1070ti would have to exceed 40 Mhash/sec by quite a bit on a $400 card and be close to 50 for a $449 card to compete.

For algorithms other than that used by ETH, a hypothetical GTX 1070ti is likely to be a lot more competative - I can see it being a KILLER ZEC mining card for the price, even at $449.
