Glad that the QR codes stay there and nobody tries to erase them or paint over them.
In my country there are lots of vandals, who would just draw some shit over the QR code.
Finally the QR technology can do some work.I'm gonna draw codes all over my city(and nobody will donate any bitcoins to me). Grin

Where are you from ?

Here in Paris people cover the whole piece with the qr included Grin

Just curious. Has no one attempted to cover up the QR code to another QR code in an attempt to steal donations? Well done by the way. I think I remember the last time you've posted your art here. Has it really been 2 years? Jeebus.

Now that he has come out and said he's received $12,500 over a couple of years, he might just be asking for trouble.

That being said, it requires specialized equipment to produce QR codes that big, so it would have to be a really dedicated individual to go through the effort.

Where are the locations of your Frescos @OP? Would be nice to see them scattered throughout the world!

On the 5 murals, there's still 2. The both are very close at 63 rue Riquet Paris 75019, look on google street, you can see them on the bridge.

Good job, I think I've seen one of your drawings over the past year.
What painting brought the highest amount of donations?
I noticed in your drawings that you do not draw BTC mainly but indirectly, why not draw a BTC logo?

On my murals I think it's better to create awardess of Bitcoin indirectly by simply using it, and the total amount of donations received is the best publicity for the public.

pascalboyart, it is really very good achievement for you, and it just shows that people love good art which can be rewarded with cryptocurrency. Are there any of your works outside of France maybe?

It would be great if you can make at least one mural in every capital city of EU, maybe this can be the project worth considering? Crypto community could help in that, in a way to become a sponsor for your visit in a certain country, and you would also profit more with more murals.

Yes very good idea, my work is all about crowdfunding without 3rd party. For now it's not enough to paint in UE cities but I hope soon I'll get more funding, If a decentralized Patreon could emerge with a user friendly UI, I'll be using it for sure

I also saw your reddit post, just good mate.

I like the idea of @Kakmakr, so that you(we) can spread awareness about bitcoin to those who are not exposed yet. Also, if you could urge other artist to try this kind of art frescoes, that will be great.

Yes I would love to make it easy for street artists to add their own Bitcoin QR code to their works with a easy way to verify the address, I'll do a tutorial soon.

You are really gifted.. Have you ever thought of doing some merchandising in the form of some T-Shirts with some revolutionary depictions of Bitcoin vs Banks? I think a bunch of people walking around with your "message" would also make a real difference in Bitcoin adoption if you did that.  Wink

Art like this should be appreciated by many people all over the world and I would be proud to wear a t-shirt with a powerful Bitcoin message.  Cool

Give us more.  Wink

I'm thinking about it for sure! It's coming soon.

Slava Ukraini!
That's really nice story. Your artworks looks amazing, I can only imagine how much work and effort you put into it. And these donations dhows that people apreciate your work. And it's obvious that Bitcoin is actively used in your location. I always thought that's impossible to get significant money in donations because people are greedy and you can get only few bucks in total even after doing something nice or useful.
BTW, I understand that these frescoes are in France somewhere, but where exactly we can find it Smiley?

Pascal, can't believe it's been almost a year since we got in touch to cover the story of you and Art (r)evolution. Can't tell you how happy and glad I am to see this news.

Not that it's important (or maybe it is;) ) but just 2wo more years, and that $12k will be a very different number, I'm sure of that!

Best wishes, Pascal.

The idea of accepting bitcoin as a donation is just great, but maybe you should add other cryptocurrencies, for example, ethereum, which is also used by many people, I think that would increase your donations.
And yes, the qr codes are too large in size, I would make them half as much.

Trust me, if people have crypto, they have Bitcoin. And if people donated crypto,,, they would choose to donate Bitcoin most of all. If you think about artists and other people who accept crypto, you also have to give them something they can exchange out very easily. And Bitcoin in the practical terms is the only one that can do this. ETH is probably also these days the same but because of market liquidity price losses to fees and what not are still higher than for BTC.

I don't think these mural paintings are done for the sake of gathering Bitcoin donations. That tip QR code comes secondary. These are art pieces laid on public walls to probably create a little stir on people's minds in some way. I looked at the OP's paintings in his website. He's not really painting a QR code on each one of them. The QR code sizes also vary. The one in the left bottom part of the OP actually occupies only the little corner spot of the entire mural.

Nice work, painting QR code that big must have really been a challenge but it paid off at last. You can use out of the funds to implement the QR code on shirts and mugs to be distributed for free in your street.

That is so incredible pascal,,, I have enjoyed looking at your art when I saw an article last year, but I did not know you also have an account here on bitcointalk.

The community is alive here, and no one else can boast of the same activeness. If I had any smerit I would give them to you, but the next time I do, you can be sure it belongs to you.

Not for now, making your own qr stencil is not that easy. What happens most of the time is the whole piece is covered...

But I guess it can be hacked by replacing your own qr on the pic with photoshop, then post it online as Banksy or other famous guys... That's why I attached my website to the qr to be able to verify the donation address. We should find a easy and secure way to verify that the donations go to the right address.

Not exactly 2 years, my first was in nov '17.
