Terrible. My prayers go out to family and friends.
I don't understand killing God's children in the name of religion.
I especially don't understand Africans killing Africa in the name of an Arab religion.

I don't get it either.
Killing innocent children in the name of God.
So much for the "Religion of Peace"

Terrible tragedy, I can only hope for their healing and for this madness to stop.

Before Islam and Christianity conquered Africa, it was a peaceful place. Now we have people killing each other in both Muslim nations (such as Nigeria and Sudan) as well as Christian states (such as Rwanda).

That said, the root cause of this particular attack is the drawing of colonial borders. Kenya contains large areas inhabited by ethnic Somalis, which are near 100% Muslim. These people don't want to live in a Christian majority state. Al Shabab is having a lot of sympathizers in these regions.

The list of countries where such attacks are carried out seem to be increasing.
There seem to be no "safe" countries.  Sad

Crime rates in Africa have been high from a long time. But its disappointing to see they targetted students in this attack. This seems to be the second attack in one year time period, after Westgate shopping mall being the first.
Even though the militant activity seems to have reduced, there are still making potential threats with these kinds of attacks.
Most of the Africa yes, but if you read some of the interviews, then you will see this was a place which was very less likely to be hit by a terrorist attack, and people actually moved from neighboring places to here for university and other jobs.
But instead this was the place which got hit.

Kenya is one of the peaceful places in this world. It just shows you that this terrorism can pop up anywhere.

It's reported they targeted Kenya in response to Kenyan troops being used in the African Union mission targeting militants in Somalia.

Kenya seems to be one of the countries in the Islam-Christian border of Africa. Nigeria seems to have borne the brunt of Islamic terrorism, but Kenya isn't too far away,

Another senseless tragedy. When I was younger, I used to "look forward" to the day when things like this no longer happened, believing that as a species we were ever moving towards collective peace. The more I see of the world, the more I realize this will never end. Violence begets violence, and we're too stupid to stop the cycle. Terrorists think if they kill enough people, governments will give them what they want, and governments think if they kill enough terrorists, there will be peace: the snake that eats its own tail.
