Yeah, I saw this story a while back. This does not justify 15 years in prison. And pretty crazy if they did confront the person with their kid next to them.

One witness was a grandmother with her two grandchildren who recorded the event that was uploaded and went viral.
Another, was a women with her four-year-old who had to go into mommy mode (not sure what mode she was it prior to stumbling upon sex on the beach, but whatever) and had to explain to her kid what was or wasn't happened while she... wait for it ... confronted the two partners and argued with them that what they were doing was just wrong. Question: Was the child at her side while the in-mommy-mode was chastising the naked couple, or did she left the child tens of yards away alone on a beach populated with strangers from out of town? Hell, even the closest proper thing to do was having some stranger woman watch the child while she was having a convo with the naked couple. She couldn't even have the child nearby with its back turn while she discussed how it was bad, bad, bad to be fucking on a private beach in the middle of the afternoon. The most logical thing to do was to walk the other way whereupon the kid would soon forget what he may have witnessed instead of subjecting the kid further to the lewd act.
