The only realistic way to end the global poverty is to popularize family planning. But powerful religious organizations (especially the Christian churches and the Islamic sects) will make sure that this will never happen. The world is over-populated, and it is not capable of sustaining any more people. The resources are limited. As the population increase, the per-capita availability of resources decline, and this causes poverty.
This is only true under the premise that everyone lives like US americans or europeans.
And one of the biggest problems in US and European society is abudance of resources and therefor the wasting of it.
For example food managment:
Around 30-40% of good/edible food is thrown away each year while 2 billion people have not enough to eat.
We do actually produce enough food for 7 billion people right now - it is just the people cant afford it because they dont have enough money.

Money saved from the evil hands of the fascist state
I still don't understand how some people believe that money going in tax will help reduce poverty. Tax money pay for warfare, nature's destruction, promotion of homosexuality, alcohol and hookers for state officials, golden diapers for babies princes (only in the UK), and building of palaces to show how mighty the state is.
If all countries would become tax-free, there would be so much money spent and earned everywhere that there would be no poverty.
This forum just makes me lose any faith in humanity...

This is something I keep forgetting about USA in fact, as it's probably the dumbest thing I ever saw. You don't even need more taxes, you just need to stop spending 56% of them (600 billions) on military.

It still wouldn't end poverty; perhaps it would 'end' for a short while, but those destined to be impoverished will find a way to squander what wealth they get and it'll become lost in the hands of the few once more; in other words to "remedy" this situation will simply distort the economy even further, after which it'll self-correct as it always does. So long as there is inequality in intelligence, there's going to be inequality in general as this impacts one's ability to operate effectively in the world,
It has been easily and repeatedly proven that IQ is linked to education. So one way to decrease inequalities is to give equal educations. And how do you do this? By giving free education to all new generations. Which is what's been done in whole Europe.Ah!

It's not as if being invaded is something to take lightly. They're both issues, and people do care about both, just not always at once. Everyone has their own focus.
Cause those two issues are not at all linked. Not like the migration "problem" was linked to wealth concentration.

Sure. One child-policy will help them. Their wealth will be much more concentrated. It's a shame that even if you divide their population by 100 they're still poor as hell.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to tax havens, so they only benefit the wealthy. I don't think some people should have advantages like these that others don't have access to. I was discovered that Mitt Romney paid lower taxes than middle class tax payers in America because he took advantage of tax havens and loopholes.

So I really don't blame them for not wanting to spend money on, for example, Africa; in the end you'll wind up creating a lot more needy Africans and a whole lot more warfare in that nation between warring warlords, and what good is that? What good is breeding the stupid? Why fill the world with more violent idiots? Then you just have more starving people who, if fed, will produce more starving people. It's just going to create more problems.
Poverty is never going anywhere, the end of which is a pursuit only for one fully disconnected from the reality of the situation. It's just an excuse used to morally justify stealing from another.
