My point of view that best way for long hold is to devide amout - like 75 ETH and 4.75 BTC. I think that ETH and BTC will grow together, but who knows, you will save half at least, if something happen with one of blockchains.
If you have not decided yet, then why not split this amount on a equally? Both currencies are incredibly promising (although the ETH still has much more chances in the long run) It's very interesting that you eventually decided.
I would take the ETH because according to my caltulations it's worth more than 9.5 Bitcoins right now. That's the only reason. Then I would sell it and convert it right back into Bitcoins and have more than 9.5 BTCs. I'm a genius!

Most people here would say that you should just diversify your investment since it is the safest way or the most recommended way to invest a huge amount of money. You can have 75 ETH and 4.75 bitcoin, that way you will not miss an opportunity if ever ethereum rises first or bitcoin.
And why do not you want to buy some of that and part of the other? I would in your place buy 10-15 different coins and keep them. But this is only my opinion. Good luck!

in my opinion better bitcoin than ethereum for now, because after consensus usually bitcoin will increase
I have chosen ETH because I consider that ETH has a better % potential comparing with BTC and I think that ETH will decrease a spread with BTC and right now is is much hype around ETH many investors and analysts recommend ETH so newest investors are looking at ETH mainly it is good because it gives more fuel.

I prefer to have a btc than ethereum because the pump and dump of the coin is depending on the movement of the bitcoin, so if the bitcoin would fall down meaning all the alts would fall down also and besides the value of the bitcoin is unpredictable. Yes, fifty-fifty option looks like very attractive. But if I had to choose between ETH and Bitcoin, I will prefer Eth.
Sure better is 150eth with compare with bitcoins, in altcoins still have more potential to get profit when we calculation with the price and the growing
If are. not sure then I will suggest you to go 50/50 both have good potiantial of growth always buy in dips and do some trading to increase your ROI. This strategy is winning solution if play little smart.

Of course, I will choose Bitcoin for my hold until December 2018. Yes, it is almost the same but I am sure if I choose Bitcoin will certainly be more promising for the future. I think it is better to hold or convert bitcoin. Because the price of the bitcoin is deep price. Buy and hold for the longterm trade and your key to success is patience.
