This is an idea I have been floating around in my head for some time, and I have finally decided give it a try and see if it is something people want.

I am offering escrow service for BTC transactions, I can do other virtual currencies as well. What is different about my escrow service is that I am putting a bond for extra assurance that nothing will go wrong on my end. If any loss results from my mishandling, improper transfer, or compromised storage, The BTC value of the transaction up to the full bond amount will be used to cover the loses. To clarify, these are to cover losses caused by me acting as the Escrow agent, it does not cover losses caused by disputes between the transacting parties.

In the event of a dispute, I will make a decision based on the terms agreed upon between the transacting parties. That decision will be posted publicly in the thread for the community to review.

My escrow fee is 1.25%. Transacting parties will decide who pays the fee, and if it is taken out of the amount being held or paid separately.

The bond is currently set at BTC2.
The total bond value is split between 2 wallets.

The first address is a cold storage (paper) wallet that I keep in my possession.
The second address is currently a live blockchain wallet. I am willing to transfer the balance to a highly trusted long time escrow agent, or send them the private key. This is to add additional assurance that I won't just run off with the bond if things go wrong.

The bond will be increased as my service is used, so if this becomes popular, the bond value could become much more substantial.

Contact me by PM or Skype if you would like to use my service.

I am available most days afternoons and evenings. I receive PM notifications by email on my phone, so if I am awake and someone needs something, I am notified fairly rapidly.

I have recently closed out a group buy where I received and shipped $45,000 worth of hardware.

The OP of that thread goes into further detail of my experience and reputation.

Comments or feedback are appreciated. I am new to doing escrow, but knowledgeable of the process. My main objective is to contribute to the community.
