As far as I know, and as far as Bitcoin is concerned, there's only Bitcoin on the Bitcoin blockchain. Anything else, like "Runes" or "Ordinals" are made up by someone to get money from gullible people.

I recently purchased Bitcoin inscribed with rune token Gizmo through magic eden. Purchased around 200K tokens $10,000 at time of purchase using Phantom wallet
After purchasing GIZMO, I see a balance of $600 of BTC in my wallet
It sounds like you bought $600 worth of Bitcoin (around 0.006 BTC) for $10,000. It also sounds like someone made up a story to convince you that whatever you're buying is worth that, and you fell for it.

I’d greatly appreciate any advice, recommendations, or even success stories if someone has experienced something similar. This is a significant financial loss for me, and I’m trying every possible avenue to resolve the issue.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
I don't think there's anything you can do. You fell for the story that the Bitcoins you bought were "special", then you sent your Bitcoin to be traded at it's real value. Whatever "special" there was, is gone now. This is going to be an expensive lesson.

For a very long time now, I've wondered why people spend many millions of dollars in Bitcoin transaction fees to spam the blockchain with data. I think your post answers this question: they sell $600 worth of Bitcoin for $10,000. And considering the massive amount of blockchain spam they've caused in the past year, there must be thousands of victims like you. Although some probably managed to find a greater fool to sell their "unique satoshis" to.

Hello everyone,

**20% Share of recovered funds for anyone who can help me get this back**

I’m reaching out to this community because I’m in a very difficult situation and could really use some advice or guidance. Here’s a high-level overview of what happened:

I recently purchased Bitcoin inscribed with rune token Gizmo through magic eden. Purchased around 200K tokens $10,000 at time of purchase using Phantom wallet
After purchasing GIZMO, I see a balance of $600 of BTC in my wallet (I thought this was leftover bitcoin from the GIZMO buy) so I transferred it to Coinbase. Later I performed a Bitcoin-to-Solana (BTC-SOL) swap through their system with the BTC I just transferred, what but I failed to realize was that I was swapping my GIZMO runes for Sol.

I ended up swapping what should have been $10,000+ worth of Bitcoin/Gizmo Runes for roughly $600 worth of Solana. I was able to trace down the tokens on the blockchain to another wallet that only has 1 lifetime transaction, but I have no way to recover or access them. I’ve went to war with Coinbase support, but they’ve stated that their asset recovery tools do not support Bitcoin or unique tokens like these. They also do not own the wallet that holds the tokens.

Current wallet location of the runes:https://www.oklink.com/btc/address/3JU2ojTfuXK8HcHAZDFByXeEvE4QPRQzVj
Related transaction ID:https://www.oklink.com/btc/tx/7db8fe6abbdb08ad47a52618d9d67823634fc342d9c286db4f5bc8c67193dd05

I understand that blockchain transactions are irreversible and I know this is a massive longshot, but I’m wondering if there is any possible way to:
Recover my inscribed Bitcoin or the value of the assets.
Indirectly contact the unknown owner of this wallet to see if there’s any chance of retrieving them.
Leverage any tools or services that specialize in situations like this.

I’d greatly appreciate any advice, recommendations, or even success stories if someone has experienced something similar. This is a significant financial loss for me, and I’m trying every possible avenue to resolve the issue.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
