I think we all have the same situation with you and hope become our faith to keep stay. You should see again your strategy, if you can hold more longer just hold it but if not just cut loss. We can't give you any advice again, many people already leave crypto and come back again next year. If their asset become scam that's risk. Up to you and see you next year.

Always the best way to go. At least, there are only two ways to it, it is either you panic sell and get out from the market while blaming others for the mistakes you have made when the market eventually recovers and you see that you could have had the chance to eventually hit it big, or you are actually patient enough to wait for the market to recover, know how to at least accumulate more while the market is down in its historical bottom and then stick with the idea of at least trying as much as possible to be patient enough to wait for it. The people that usually get the best from the market as investors are those who are patient.

It's good to buy when prices go down to average your price down. But it can get dangerous in a bear market. Crypto is an unpredictable world where everything can happen very quickly. Drop your ICON and place a sell order just above your entry price. Sooner or later, with or without reason, it will take 50% in the day to fall back immediately, but at least you will be rid of it.

As some people have pointed out you cannot lose 200% of your money because you only have 100%, now I think that you made a mistake, the strategy that you are using makes sense in a coin like bitcoin or in other coins that have been in the market for a very long time but what you did was very risky especially for such a coin, but I hope that everything turns out well for you.

There is nothing they can do but wait for the market to recover. Whats more worse is that bearish market is more then 8 months now and yet no sign of recovery,

If you can manage it hold for some more time, it may recover your lost money, crypto market currently is going thr side trend after a long down trend, it can start reversing soon or later, just be patient, whenever your positions start coming in profit, book some percentage, do some technical research on levels and calculate the risk and return and let some positions run for some more time.

The market is always going to keep coming with different phase most of the time, which is always going to be the bear phase and the bull phase, one way or the other, there will always be reversal of trends.

You are not the only one experiencing this situation as majority of investors who bought last January 2018 suffered a huge loss my portfolio is also negative -80+% and it really stressful to saw your portfolio bleeding but I'm confident market may recover soon as long as you are holding good coins there is always a chance of recovery. Just be patient.

use this mistake as a lesson. cut your losses now and make sure that you don't make the same mistake again in the future. the one rule that you should follow is that you should never buy random tokens just because you think they can give you profit but you should buy them if your analysis told you it is. also make sure NEVER to follow what others tell you or you will end up losing money.

by the way you can't lose -200%! maximum you can lose is -100% when you lose everything!

What happened to OP is nothing but as usual thing and this happen oftentimes. Like I bought ADA but after a week it dump hard, so instead of buying more and do day trading I just hold it and sadly I lost almost 80% of it. The problem is sometimes we thought it's already the bottom but it is not.

I must admit that somehow I lost trust in altcoins and I'm trying more to stabilize in bitcoin.

Holding an altcoin while trading is inevitable but we better use margin trading or set an expectation where to sell for a profit or stop loss and also buy it back when necessary. ICON is not a bad choice to invest with so when the market becomes stable, i am sure that it will reacn an time high specially if bitcoin reaches $19,000 again.
