In the next 11 days we might even surpass $2000 who knows right? this is the nature of a decentralized and free market, it only depends on how bad they really want to get some Bitcoin, as much as I'd like to see the price rise further more I'm kind of skeptic and currently holding back and putting trades in a halt position first to see if the market as a whole has the potentials strong enough not to bend under the overpriced trades, if this can sustain for 10 more days then I'd suggest to everyone to get ready for $1300 as the new floor.
I think the current surge is a testament to how well bitcoin has performed over the last few months, even dating back to when the price idled at $600 for a while.
A testament? Can you explain more why the "testament" has occured and what you think is the reason behind the rise?

$2000 is easily possible. Current prices are already at $1400, and we still know Bitcoin is undervalued.

I think it will be $2000 in 6 months or less..
It's not unbelievable but it's not near, there is a difference of $500 which is not very high for those that saw recently the bitcoin price from 1k to 1.4k
But for those that we have watch bitcoin for years $500 means a lot and it's not easy to be achieved.

Yes, it depends upon the situation “if”. If the other things remain constant it may cross this level at the end of the summer. But we also have to be careful as we need to watch the other things, for such a prediction you need to be a keen observer. I must mention that the bitcoin currently is at to repeat what we had in 2013, yes we may see $10k levels too within this year but it may be followed by a heavy dump too.
I personally wouldn't say it's possible to reach $2000 this year before the price started to go up, but it doesn't seem that unlikely anymore if things continue in the same manner.On the other hand, this situation is completely different from the year 2013 where MtGox singlehandedly caused the price to reach a false all time high.
Right now there is serious demand coming from all parts of the world, where back in 2013 things where still more or less new and exciting. Thing are getting serious now.

Yes. I've been saying for a couple of weeks now that we'll see $2,000 probably by the end of summer. There's just so many factors that can affect the price, it's hard to tell what it's going to do. But, if current trends hold, we'll see it within a few months for sure!

In my opinion, if the Japan will continue doing the same thing, we will have 2000$ per one bitcoin before the new year.

We are already Nearing the $1500 mark and the price on the google converter are $1478.55 we are seeing the value of bitcoin going to that notch and I think that the resistant over to the $1400 was now gone and has been replace to the $1500 value now we are only waiting for that barrier to really break it up to $2000 if it happens,

Even despite attempts to manipulate the price, Bitcoin continues to skyrocket. It seems to me that nothing can stop him. The main thing is that in the near future there was no bad news
You actually meant that in the recent past, there was no bad news? There were some, such as the ETF rejection by the SEC. And just yesterday some $70 million worth of Bitcoins were stolen from the Yapizon exchange.

Why? If you look at the charts on coinmarketcap.com you will see that the price has consistently increased over the past few months. Not just one big price hike and then a dump like 2013. There is a major difference between this year's pump which is way more sustainable, compared to the 2013 pump which happened basically overnight and the dump happened overnight as well.
But still, it is important that you don't take on a lot of risk. Maybe keep a portion of your savings in USD and the other portion in BTC.

A lot of people here keep saying that Bitcoin will reach $2000 because of various reasons. The funny part is they do not have any analysis that backs up what they say.

wow this is possible if the market will continue to show strong upwards movement, the support keeps showing positiveand most of the alts have liquidate to follow the rise bitcoin can be 2k$ probably in the next 2-3 months.
Yeah it is kinda surprising, I used to think $2000 this year is impossible but after this few days, I am certain that $2000 this year is very possible. There are lots of good news that is coming for Bitcoin now adays, countries accepting it as full pledged money and another on planning and another another one acknowledging it. With the current news in Japan and Big companies planning to join the Bitcoin market, I am sure $2000 is just some months away.

It will be possible ,bitcoins price now is already on ghe way near $1500 so this year for $2000 it is attainable and maybe go surpass that price in december .its hodl now wait for the right price I can't believe bitcoin pump so much this morning I'm so shock when i see the price of the bitcoin for today this is a real blessing for us . hoping we could hit 1500 tomorrow and don't experience a big crash because of the bitcoin price pump too much. i think $2000 per bitcoin we will be hitting that price before this month end.
With good growth and the absence of any bad news, we really can see the 2000 mark this month. This will be a wonderful news for all users.
