Still waiting for an answer from the guy. I honestly wouldn't take less than 2.5 Bitcoin though at today's rate.

Like the title says! Make me an offer. I don't need to sell it, but if the price is right, it can be yours! I'll post pics tomorrow. It's late, and it's in the safe and I don't feel like digging it out right now.  Smiley

Escrow happily accepted, or you send first! DannyHamilton is the preferred escrow holder.

Graded by ANACS?  If so , 1.6 pending picture.

im actually a bit upset that its going for anything less then 2.5BTC.
This is rarer (and in excellant shape) then the 2011 V1!!

The market for Casascius stuff is still very young. The future collectors of these coins will realize their full potential.

This is as good a time as any to remind people how numismatics are priced.

SALE PRICE = (FACE VALUE) + (NUMISMATIC VALUE) + (SELLER'S PREMIUM)

Notice the lack of multiplication symbols; statements such as "2x face" or "10x face" have no meaning and no place in numismatics.

The FACE VALUE for a Casascius coin would be the value of the BTC stored within, plus the spot value of any precious metals.

The NUMISMATIC VALUE is an absolute value based solely on the desirability of the coin. This generally correlates with mintage, age, and condition, but other factors can be at play here as well.

The SELLER'S PREMIUM varies from seller to seller, based on a number of factors including the seller's trustworthiness, care in packaging, supporting documentation or certifications, and other factors.

The biggest point to make here is that with all other things being equal, FACE VALUE and NUMISMATIC VALUE have no bearing on one another.

Just because it is rare doesn't make it more desirable.  Most people want an error coin over these just because.

I'd match nubbins offer if he didn't mind, I'd love to own an early graded coin as something I can keep and pass down through generations. If not it looks like you may have accepted his bid already and thanks for considering.

I don't mind if you match my offer. If you beat my offer, however.. Wink

This is an extremely rare series of coin - significantly more rare than the 2011 S1 error coin, which had over 10x more coins minted than the 2011 S2.

BTC1.25 would be an absolute steal...Mike probably charged more than that to sell it to the original owner!

Pending pictures, this could be a very sweet deal for someone!

Doubtful, considering the price of BTC at the time. Good deal at that price, though. Should probably sell for a bit more than that.
