Bitcoin is too valuable to be used as a currency
Interested in buying one... can I pay in fiat? Smiley

Shame on you.  I'm willing to trade, but not for toilet paper.

Fair enough, I'll get one, how to proceed?

One coin to rule them all
You basically generate random keys and brute-force some of the digits you want in your public key.
The more digits you want to match the more hard will it be to generate.
I generated my key in about 2 weeks on a normal office desktop PC (7 digits).
The "difficulty" grows exponential so 8 digits could take months or even years.

Try play around with vanity keygen that OG used, the program make a statistical projection on how long it takes based on the input.

How do you make the personalized private keys or can you refer me to the thread that explains it? Pretty cool...

I use vanitygen.

OgNasty is public as well.
I understand your concern but I will say he is easily found and very trustworthy.
My dealings with him have been very well done and above board.
I have even interviewed him.

I know nothing is perfect but I do not feel we have to worry about OgNasty.

One of the reasons Casascius was trusted with private keys is because he published his real-world identity and address for the world to see. What assurances can you offer buyers?

If I buy a coin, load it, and the balance disappears some day, "OG Nasty from the forums" isn't much of a lead to work with.

I purchased one from him.  He did a great job.  The hologram looks great on it and everything was very secure.
Thanks again Og.

Are you not using the mini private key?

Nope.  I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling from mini-keys and won't rely on them in my products.

Okay. Just curious. I've found them easier to use for assembly than the normal length WIF (double circles).

The private key is printed in its entirety in the below format.  Under each security hologram you will find a folded piece of paper resembling the below image.  If for some reason the folded paper is separated during removal of the hologram, the order to enter the key can be identified by the dots on the top of the printout, with the single dot side being entered before the double dot side.  Smiley

Here's a better look at the hologram:

BTW is that an overprinting of the address?

Yes, the address is printed over the hologram.  It is all done manually with trial and error.
