Bad news.... downloads in china have backed way off.
Good news... the rate of decline in total downloads is slowing.

this is not good; for the US.

No. Good for the world!

The moar Chinese, the better. The moar Americans, the better. The moar people, the better.

Does it matters who adopts bitcoin?
+1

China has most favored trade status with US.  Doing trade with individuals > doing trade with governments.
This is good for Chinese individuals, good for US individuals, and good for Bitcoin.
People don't start wars, governments do.

The revolution will be monetized!
Its going to be an "interesting" next ten years, I can tell you that.
This reminds me of the famous Chinese curse. ( 願你生活在有趣的時代。) "May you live in interesting times".  Undecided

why not? I thought Bitcoin suppose to connect the world

potentially losing the world's reserve currency status is never a good thing.

Its a good thing for anyone outside of Washington.    USA will lose easy money but anyone doing useful trade will gain.  Politics and endless government waste will be cut most, anyone outside of that is better off even the average American eventually.   If Russia can survive their mess, USA will no matter what

America losing world currency status is inevitable, the only question is how long until it happens, and what replaces it.

The USA has gutted their manufacturing capacity, their overall GDP due to bad monetary policies, is swimming in debt that is truly frightening, and has vulnerable concerns all over the globe that could become a big mess back home if energy becomes an issue.

Its going to be an "interesting" next ten years, I can tell you that.

Yes this.

It is hard to sing the song "I am proud to be an American" at times. Wink

As an 'american' by birth (but an expat by choice) the prospect of China as a super-power with a controlling share of the world reserve currency enthralls me. I hold Bitcoins, I see this as a good thing.

This is why I worry about stupidly over-regulating bitcoin in the U.S. They simply can't kill bitcoin at this point. But they could drive bitcoin businesses out of the U.S. and help other nations reap the lion's share of the bitcoin economy.
The regulators just can't seem to keep their hands off things they don't understand. They are sure that if they cut the goose open they can have all the golden eggs at once.
