Does anybody thought that BitCoin, and other digital currencies, may have been developed to siphon off dollars that would otherwise be bidding up the prices of gold and silver?

yes they sure have. I can agree to that personally

Your idea makes sense

However, in this case, Bitcoin was to be developed by U.S. government agencies

Although the BitCoin technology is interesting, a BitCoin is no more a "store of value" than a paper fiat dollar today.  Its value is based entirely upon "faith alone". But nothing venture - nothing gain. Cool

I liked the sequel much more than the first part.
Paper money becomes part of the historical as gold nowadays.

IMO, cashless payments is stepping stone for digital currency's development

Less than 2,000 views? This video deserved way more than that. But still, it was interesting to see that all of the comments posted on the Youtube were supportive of the crypto-currency.

Thanks, we actually released a much better IMPROVED version/sequel:

Quite interesting video, yet i can't see bitcoin ever being 5,000$

was that mentioned in the video?

Nope. But I can definitely see it being $5,000.

10 USD is imposs...wait...100 USD is impossible, we will never reach this  Wink

Hm, perhaps i would have not thought that it will reach 1300$. But let's be honest, we have not seen 1500$+ therefore it is very unlikely it will ever go there.

i dont understand this logic  Cheesy

That's actually pretty cool when looking at the history of money and cash

This is a good video!   Smiley

But I believe that "the rise of digital currency" is still ahead. Today there is distrust of it by society and the State.

Austerity, Fiat, IMF, WAR, hyperinflation, only a few reasons people invest in Bitcoin and other altcoins making it more valuable with each incident affecting the global economy.  There are many people invested in hardware for mining and many many enthusiastic users of bit/alt coins. It is not going away anytime soon and I think Bitcoin will only really go down in relation to FIAT Currencies when there are no major events happening in the world. As the world's peoples age, we will have more and more computer savvy people willing to engage crypto-currencies.

BTC forever...

It's interesting video!
I was surprised by the fact that only 8 percent of the money have a paper form. The calculation was performed for the whole world or just for the U.S.?

When the 'The Rise of Digital Currency' creator of something tells you a fact , how anyone could refute it further. It's ok to be wrong about things, in fact we should celebrated without shame. We need to promote this video more and rally around it so to create a consensus.

What consensus?
