I think that ico projects are slowly dying. Fraud there are many. Investing in bitcoin or Ethereum is much safer.

I don't want to agree that ICO has fail,just that our expectation is too high that many thought become rich overnight is possible through by using ICO as medium for that.
Investing on a ICO project now a days are too risky not just like the old days, meaning in general you cannot avoid to get scam or project failed. There is no investments projects has a good potential to generate a profits without lossing something, we investors had no choice but to accept the risk in crypto currency business. The very best moves is to chooce a good one and invest that you can afford to lose.
We can't say that ICO has failed when even the entire Cryptocurrency market does not look promising this year. I think we should give ICO. more time and see how it will react once the market trend is positive before tagging it as failed investment model

I agree with you and also think that ICOs have failed in 2018 and it does not give any profit anymore. I have switched to altcoin investments, because they are a bit more stable than ICO projects and I still believe that you can gain good profit with altcoins.

There is no future for ICOs, especially now, when there is no regulations. Investors are too scared and we all can undestand the reason for the to behave so.
Yes, a lot of scams a lot of good projects did not raise soft. This is a normal process of evolution. Remind 1998-2000 the boom of dot.coms - companies with just simple web page were raising millions of dollars investments. Then most of them crashed, but some had survived like Amazon and others.

It's a bit harsh to call the 2018 a failure. The situation the market is going through now is very common and it can come at any moment. The risk is always there, you just need to deal with it.
Some fradulent ICOs are the main reason behind this, although it is not entirely a lost cause this year for ICOs. Some legit ICOs did well in this market. Looking forward, I think DApps will get significant momentum so you might consider them for investment. Specially, the games are pretty good.
Even though there are a lot of failed ICOs this year but many of them who had a new potentials and technology also succeeded. And we have to remember that investments are always risky.
