As we witnessed a bearish year which lasted longer than the prediction and some people was it was the bad year for crypto but i feel it was a the year of correction as the value of crypto were overachieved at the end of 2017. Hence we are having a correction period to what the real value should had been? Kindly share your opinion.
Yes, I agree with you that 2018 is a year when almost all crypto currencies undergo massive corrections, this greatly affects the mentality of new investors who have just entered in 2018, this makes them very confused to take the attitude of price movements, they finally sell panic for fear of experiencing a deeper loss, this panic selling action is certainly a trigger for deeper price corrections, I hope the next year will be a year where the price of crypto currency is very potential

Yeah, that's generally how it works with speculative assets. Speculation outpaces underlying demand, then supply eventually overtakes the market and creates a distribution cycle. Traders often say those who bought into parabolic price action based on hype need to be punished and shaken out of the market. Eventually, the corrective or bear market shakes out most of these "get rich quick" speculators and the price reverts to the mean/original long term trend, which is more closely tied to the true underlying demand for BTC.

I hope that makes the panic men be calm again. Grin
But I dont think so.
There might be a dump that happened that we dont really see which took place in an exchange that is not that much monitored or they scattered it.
From 19k USD price of bitcoin, it didnt fall in one blast. It was a  slow process and it got here in our price right now in months.
That is surely a dump. I dont believe in corrections.

I hope Bakkt will be the trigger for the Bull market and it will push us back to a even higher ATH in 2019.  Wink

Bakkt itself won't do much in the short term considering how they are using the OTC market to stock up on coins. It's very likely that they have enough coins already to last them a good number of months.

I think it's more likely to see the market react in a negative manner to Bakkt with how people think it's such a big deal, while its effect on the market won't be felt immediately. Don't get me wrong, on paper Bakkt is a big deal, but there isn't much to be bullish about in the short term with the aforementioned in mind. The other side is that we don't even know if there will be enough demand, because the demand for crypto is known to be very low during bear markets.

Coinbase already took out its index fund due to that. Bakkt in case the demand is there, will affect the market after a couple of years. OTC market -> spot market are different worlds.

The correction made the value to be more stable and this is what we are experiencing and I think it's already done. Still the value doesn't move much and we only have 2 months more before the year end. Many of us are hoping to see  a bullish market this last quarter so let's see if it would happen again in order to at least gain some good amount of profits.

Seeing the fall of cryptocurrency price of 2028 as correction of the prices is a perspective but I could reason with you in that line only for a while. But I will further disagree because most of the current token prices are really below the normal price being sold. So, conclusively, I don't fully see the price fall as a correction but a passing phase of bearish markets.

That's how it should go and as of now we're not hearing any FUD anymore about bitcoin being a bubble, atleast they kept quite.
Hence we are having a correction period to what the real value should had been? Kindly share your opinion.
You mean price? value and price has different meaning so if its the price $6,000 seems to be perfect at this moment. If the upcoming events would start to push bitcoin price up then $10,000 is possible before this year ends.

I also agree. Many of us though that bitcoin was going up too fast at the end of last year, now it seems closer to its “fair value” so to speak. I quite like it that it’s been in a flatline for a while. I would obviously prefer that it did go up, because I hold bitcoin but not it seems more like a normal asset and not a bubbly one.

Yes, the bubble in 2017 had to be corrected and balanced out for Bitcoiners to make some profits in 2019. Even the stock markets has to go through some correction phase, now and again. I think we have reached the bottom end of the correction phase and we are going to get into a Bull market soon.

I hope Bakkt will be the trigger for the Bull market and it will push us back to a even higher ATH in 2019.  Wink
