I think 2018 will be a crazy year. Many altcoins will grow exponentially, going 10-20x even... But i think some others will not be able to deliver a good product and will end up labeled at shitcoins before the year ends. Next year will be hit or miss for many with the increasing adoption of cryptos.
I think the x10 and x100's of several altcoins/platforms are to be seen in 2018

With crossed fingers, I hope you will turn out right. I am holding several altcoins right now, with some Bitcoin also. They are actually growing right now. In fact, some have already grown as high as 50% growth as compared to their prices when I bought them in around September and October. But still I believe they are still capable of growing much higher. I hope it happens in the following year.

Wow, it's so amazing and tremendous feeling if it might happened. Well, as of this year performance of the different crypto some of them become successful which makes everyone happy as they eared a profitable income. Hopefully soon by next year as the bitcoin become popular also the altcoins which will depends on the different ICO project will become successful as many us earned for our needs in our daily life.
Im excited as heck for 2018. So many dapps are scheduled for release sometime next year that right now i'm just hoping that bitcoin and ethereum manage to find quick and good scaling solutions to support all the adoption that will flood the crypto gates!

I also believe in BTC, but recently, a lot of altcoins that forked from the bitcoin are destroyint the BTC. The price is really and plenty of altcoins are falling.
i think we have to wait till march before an alt season, meanwhile we will see some sporadic alt take off, some corrections eccbut the party will start late
i hope so!! really we need some good alt coins bull run and to hope that we chose the right one
Maybe its alts year,or might be the most painful year in traders because i heard 95% of alts wont have value.

Only because you hold them it's not enough. I thin we must look on infrastructure projects for blockchain 3.0 generation in 2018Altcoins is part of cryptocurrency which means this is also our future. Make your own study about it and you will realize how great the project is with a good foundation.
Of course, that is an undoubted fact because this market is still so young that this great volatility will continue for many years, especially because great whales have learned to do business with pump and dumps coins and quite often we will continue to see these impressive price swings in the market.
But in the same way, there will also be scam projects that will continue to leave many unsuspecting people in ruins, for which reason every day we must be more careful when choosing the project in which we will place our trust.

I see that many people calculate price of their altcoins in USD. I'm not sure if this is correct.

I agree, 2018 year of altcoins. Bitcoin is not everyone can buy. Ethereum, monero, dash, NEO are more accessible. They have the prospects of rising prices and demand.
If those altcoins' prices wont be affected by bitcoin, then it is possible. Like if the price of bitcoin price decreases, altcoin's price will increase not because bitcoin is sinking but due to demand.

I also think that many people will pay their attention to altcoins next year. Trading with them gives sometimes the bigger profits that the same operations with Bitcoin.

Agree, year 2017 was year of bitcoin, 2018 will be the altcoin year cuz we see that in last months Ethereum popularity grows rapidly. Also other altcoins are used more and more.
I hope you're right OP, if only alt coins can distance themselves from bitcoin so they won't always crash when bitcoin does.
Yes, this is the year of the altcoin and survival of the fittest as the mass adoption takes place, significant increase in precautionary measure regarding crypto regulation strengthen, and only the altcoin who is willing to obey obsolete rules and decentralize one will surely surive.
And PINCOIN is I'm sure , one of that. They are copliant against state regulation and has a legal advisor for such preventive measure.

I would better say that 2017 was the year of Bitcoin, and 2018 will be the year of Ethereum, DASH and NEO. I am more than sure that these cryptocurrencies will start their race with the fastest speed that they can show.
